The server died only because of the destroyer finally got spawned in the trenches. It could handle more of that boats frenzy otherwise...
Nice, but I think "Granatometchik" (Гранатометчик, verbatim "grenade thrower") would be more appropriate designation for RPG-43 kit, since "Istrebitel' tankov" primarily means tank destroyer in Russian.
I agree completely.
What would you call somebody with an AT-Rifle?
Broneboishchik (бронебойщик, verbatim "one who beats the armour") - that's how they were called in Red Army. Proof from Russian wiki for example:
В боях на Курской Дуге бронебойщик Денисов сбил из ПТР два вражеских бомбардировщика.
In the Battle of Kursk anti-tank riflemen Denisov knocked out two enemy bombers with his AT-rifle.
OK, I feel obliged to defend my translation. IMHO, "Istrebitel' tankov" (tank destroyer/hunter) still sounds better and more official (even cooler, if I may say so) than "Granatomyotchik" or "Broneboishchik". Besides, we already have too many "-chiks" in the kit list
And yes, the term was used for AT infantry (all sources are in Russian):
Radiosmersh, even the Wiki article you quoted has a picture of "soldiers of a tank destroyer battalion" (the second one from the top).
