dont you get in trouble with the md5 punkbuster checks then ?

Nope. Ever noticed how the "verifying client data" after loading takes up to a minute in BF2, while in FH2 it takes about 3 seconds? Client side modifications work just fine to an extent.

This all makes me so happy and so sad all at the same time.  What is to stop some assbag from putting all the player textures bright pink? >:(

I don't know jack sh*t about modding, but wouldn't he then be the only one seeing everything pink? If so, what's the problem?  ;D

Presumably it would make it really easy to see people trying to hide in the non-bright pink underbrush.

Welcome Stubbfan!  About time you found your way here!

Well maybe after Normandy comes about I will help take up this task. Like I said before though with FH2 being so pretty to start with I don't see much more then flags being screwed with at this point (ok maybe the a 130th crest on some of the tanks  ;D ).   I would rather wait till the Finns and the Russians show up but hey baby steps first.

Well you'd stick out like a sore thumb if you were wearing green camo in a pink forest.
Twilight - the movie is just like Schindler's list... You know you're watching a crime against humanity, but it's sort of entertaining.~~Ts4EVER

So, I think I may have some use in this thread. Some of you may remember me, most probably do not. I'm sure if you're familiar with FH 0.7, you're familiar with Mr Cheese's historical texture pack. I was one of the major contributors to the pack.

Anyway, I had the same thoughts many of you do and decided to have a go at editing some of the textures found ingame, in a similar manner to that of the old texture pack that Cheese, many others, and myself put so much of our effort into for 0.7.

For reasons already discussed on this forum, I will not post screenshots of the changes that have been made, but below please find direct links to the screenshots on imageshack.

Screenshot 2
Screenshot 3

An additional note on those screens: all were taken while playing on HSLAN this evening.
