i truely hope we get some news tomorrow, what have it been now 8-10 weeks sins som real FH2 news/update.

Finnaly something comparable to the MG Lafette  :)

Nor does it have the recoil buffers, meaning the tripod shaked and rattled as it fired ;)  The american and brit tripods were just that, 3 legs and a mount.  The germans were the only ones to turn the tripod into a piece of art :P

I handled a Vickers and tripod the other day - it was a little more sturdy than you suggested. Granted, I didn't fire anything live but the gun was clearly not going to knock the tripod over or be uncontrollable. I imagine the weight of the water cooling barrel leads to the high level of control the Vickers had in both wars.

Yes, vickers had enough weight to keep it sturdy.  The 30 cal tripod was designed for the 30 cal water cooled.  When they took off the water cooling, it didn't work too well, because it didn't have that extra weight.  Thus the shaking :P

the model was done months ago but it is hard to motivate Lightning to release news  :P
