The right Question is: Work PoE Tools with 2010?
And the People told me that it works best with 9 and 2009 isnt 9

If you like to model with all the fancy gadgets in 2010 you can always just export as FBX and import into Max 9, It preserves all the data you need.

as long as you make all your BF2 related stuff (everything other than the model) in max 9 it should be fine

was thinking of making the Luchs the model in 2010 and the rest in 9, i liked 2010 better than 9 so

You can model using pretty much whatever program you want. However, only max 6 - 9 works with exporting to BF2, aswell as some Maya versions (can't remember which, but not the newest). However, if you use features specific to newer versions, you won't retain all data. However, there shouldn't be any problems here, as newer max versions don't actually change the core data which is exported into BF2 anyway.

Oh don't quote me on the max 6 - 9, it may be working from 5 or 7, can't remember. Max 9 seems to be the standard within modding though. Not 2009, but 9.
