Yeah, it issent needed. i KNOW that you the zooming in can be explained by soldiers moving there eye closer to the sights. But i doubt very few did this in WW2. The way they trained me to handle bolt action rifles, is to open the bolt completly, and make sure my face is NOT touching the bolt. In case of a locking lug failure, the bolt can slam backwards, and if your face is there..............
