Neil Amstrong died today at the age of 82. May he travel beyond the moon and stars.

Milton Gault roared, "Roffey, I know bloody well that Jerry knows we are here but you don't need to advertise the fact!"
(From: First in the Field, Gault of the Patricias by Jeffery Williams, page 72.)

Tis a pretty sad day indeed.  Hopefully there will be at least one lunar astronaut left to see man walk upon something that isn't the earth.  Also, you should read about his exploits on Gemini 8.

Also, +1 for an actual picture of Neil on the moon.

Don't worry about them, I doubt any in this community are of tinfoil hat crowd and if they are Buzz Aldrin knows how to deal with them.

Oh damn. That makes me somehow sad. Great man. One of those names everyone will know about, even in the remote future, as a symbol of the discovery of the orbit. Rest in peace.

He ranks up there with Yuri Gagarin in my opinion. It doesn't matter what nations they're from, they're heros of the human race.

He took the step for us, now we feel the loss.

RIP Mr. Armstrong! God speed!

"The walking on the moon never happend" conspiracy fellows, please stay out of this thread

They are not so smart group of people. It's usually coming from a typical half-assed (science hobbyist wannabe) guys, trying to seek more popularity amongst unsuspecting innocent bystanders. Their arguments have been challenged, even in Wikipedia entries.

But i am not worry about that. The most disturbing things for me is some of the Muslim "scientific" community claims about Armstrong being a Muslim allegedly, after he heard call to prayers while on the moon and that Apollo 11 missing tape controversy. The celebrity faith affairs is very trendy amongst Indonesia's generally conservative community, even the Christians and the Buddhists claimed heck a lot of famous people to be one of them, yet frequently forgetting the obvious ones (Barrack Obama as Christian, and Steve Jobs as Buddhist).
