No PPK on Crete?
« on: 09-08-2009, 00:08:01 »
Correct me if I am wrong, but I readed "somewhere I don´t remember" that almost each german paratrooper on Crete carried a Walther PPK.
So,would it be historically accurate to have such a pistol on the map?

Not exactly sure where you got that info from...but its basically dead wrong....

For starters, prob the most common pistol used by the FJ was the Sauer 38, which is currently on its way for normandy.  After that was the P38, then the Lugar.  The PPK was used in WW2, but it was a high ranking officer sorta thing...not issued en masse.

For example, Adolf Hitler killed himself with a PPK. You can also see Claus Von Stauffenburg use one in the movie Valkyrie.

I see, that is why FH2 has chosen the Sauer 38H...and I have to say, good choice.
Actually,I got the info reading about Crete...but well, this is Internet.
