Actually, I got the film Talvisota, made much earlier than Tali, confused with one another. I assumed there was another Finish film set in the latter stages of the war that featured Stugs and spring settings that I had never heard of. Yes, because they didnt use same equipment. Talvisota never had Stug's in it. Talvisota started in late autumn and went going on during winter (hence the name Talvisota = Winter War). The picture of the Stugs is from a totally different film and it is during summer time. Only same equipment are some parts of the uniforms and handheld weaponry, but even that had changed tiny amount. For example, in Talvisota you see Lahti-Saloranta lightmachineguns being used by the finns, but in Tali-Ihantala 1944 you dont see one M/26 because the fact that finns rather changed them to DP's. Using same equipment doesnt mean its a same movie. I could say that Enemy at the Gates is same movie as Stalingrad, would be as wrong as you in this case.

I have never seen it myself, I just recognized Laurence and Michael Caine and just looked up what films they had done together. I might give this film a try though, I like old movies.You really should, a great movie with incredible acting by both Michael Caine and Laurence. It's based on a play and the setting is a single house and you will only see a few glimpses outside.

The germans doesnt speak german at least, thats the only negative thing.Theres some bad actors in this film, but the story is too good to care about that. Quite close, but not right there. This is also a quite new movie, very new. Its also about the same war. 3 languages are spoken in this movie. I think Defiance was alot more exciting than this movie, but this movie is more a drama. The battle scene in the first pic is the only real battlescene in this movie.

I´ve got to admit, it´s quite some time ago, since I´ve watched NAPOLA, but from what I remember the movie was indeed worth a view. Especially the "grenade scene" was very impressive. I really have to watch it again.

It is. Flawed but good, imo. Typical modern-day Scorcese: really well made but somehow missing something. And I don't even mind Leo's part. I have to admit, he's starting to grow on me as an actor, in a sense that I finally don't see Leonardo anymore, but actually the character he plays. I think that started with this movie, or maybe The Aviator.
