Top 10 FH2 Maps as of 2.46

 Well, i decided to do my top 10 and encourage other to do the same.

I will avaliate in gameplay terms (since there are maps in wich you dont really like to play.. but wen you are leading a squad for real like me, they get fun as hell! )

3. Sidi Rezend (or whatever is that name)
4. Fall of Tobruk
5. Siege of Tobruk
6. St. Lo. Breakthrough
7. Purple Hearth Lane
8. Point Du Ocre

I hope to not get missunderstanding, but there are still very good maps out there, and for each one i have barely a plan for the squad (wich makes it even harder to choose since i just need to check in wich one i got the funniest plans - Lebisey for example, is fun as hell sometimes)

I think this also mess up with the way people play: a guy who only likes aircraft in FH2, will eventualy choose Operation Cobra as the first one.. or someone who likes massive chaos, would choose Brest as the first one, ect... you could have been more specific in wich terms we could avaliate, because in map building i would also consider Gold Beach one hell of a eye candy map

Instead of top 10, I'll do top 3 in few different categories.

Best gameplay.
1. Fall of Tobruk
2. Port en Bessin
3. Bardia

Best looking.
1. Bastogne
2. Hurtgen Forest
3. Battle of Keren

Best atmosphere. Maps that have events that always make my just go "wow".
1. Omaha Beach. It's just so cool to watch ladning craft and infantry assault the beach. It's great looking as both germans or yanks.
2. Invasion of Crete. Again, lot's of people paradropping looks nice.
3. Alam Halfa. Masses of advancing german panzer on desert and me in my hole with thermos greande, waiting for them.

All of the daylight maps.  I just think it is difficult to correctly create a nighttime environment where you are not actually physically there, to allow your rods and cones in the eyes to properly adjust.

When you're looking through a dark computer screen it is difficult.

I suppose increasing the brightness on my monitor could do but then that would throw off the colors too and I would have to readjust it back to normal for the rest of the maps and the remainder of my non-gaming computer activities.

"Best atmosphere" bonus awards:
1. Omaha - because it's as scary as the real invasion must have been
2. Lüttich - the lighting is perfect, you can smell the morning dew and feel the slight chill of early autumn
3. Anctoville - the thunderstorm is a nice touch, plus the rain effect is better than on most much more recent games. Without the weather effects the map wouldn't be the same.

I'll be home from uni in a few weeks and I'm excited to try out the new version, but someone's post mentioned Keren.  I think I've only ever played that map once, do servers ever run it?

My 10 is not in order. For me a map can good or simply bad (unplayable), so this 10 are simply maps which I like:

1. Totalize
2. Gold Beach (can't say if it's playable for Brits, becuse didn't play much and haven't seen their victory so far, but I liked that even though it's a push map, it's quite spacious)
3. Bocage
4. Luttich
5. Vossenack
6. Bastogne
7. St. Vith
8. Meuse River
9. Eppeldorf
10. Mareth Line

Sure they do, it's in the 762 cycle and even closer to the beginning than the end (ie. before the inevitable restart) so comes up several times a week.
