Just after 2.25 was released, my opinion was that MGs were a bit broken and nearly impossible to use efficiently in automatic mode (especially bren and BAR).
However I got used to it and I now manage to shoot several guys with bursts. Rambo brengunning is still possible too.
The only thing that is really, really not usable is the low rate of fire mode on the BAR. The heavy recoil associated to the narrow ironsight makes shooting much more difficult than with the full auto mode, whereas in this mode the gun should be much easier to control.

I use slow fire rate always. For me it's somehow easier. Fast fire rate is good only for very close ranges.

Yeah!
When I take the BAR, I always use it slow firing mode except when I enter enemy houses or similar environment.
Then I use the badass full auto mode  8)

Best automatic firing weapon is the Italian LMG. Awesome reload animation, and the only weapon that was untouched by 2.25's super MG recoil syndrome.

I actually thought it was the _only_ smg that was very nice to use...
I never used it prior to 2.25, and just compared it blindly to all the others. It's brilliant.

Besides it looks sexy _and_ can be found for no apparent reason in Purple Heart Lane on the Axis side... ;D

There is, as in all FH2 maps, always an apparent reason. ;)

you are talking about the BERETTA SMG, which is awesome.

and it is on PHL because there are several pictures of germans with that weapon that fought exactly there, at purple heart lane.

however WE are talking about the BREDA 30 LMG one of the arguably worst MGs of the whole war.

20 shot combersome magazine,  dirt problems due to massive use of oil while firing, round cook-off, weak 6.5 mm round  etc etc etc

The breda 30 was indeed a bad machine gun

Same weight as Bren and MG34
20 rounds instead of 30 and 75
Weak round
Unreliable even in clean ideal conditions
Massive manually oiling of every round
Fragile wich ment parts where easily broken

The only advantage in this weapon, was that it was fairly accurate. But that barely outruns the disadvantages.

While the berreta 1938 SMG was one of the best SMG's of the entire war. Lethal, accurate to 200M(Unlike MP40 and Thompson with only 100M) and fairly light.

2.26 bren is now useful again.  Also, yes the kit does have a webley.
Funny, I can use the 2.25 Bren with great success. And the new Bren... well, that would beleaking.
Maybe but No.4 still does the work 10 times better, hell its actually even better for suppressing.

MGs definitely ain't fine in 2.25, lol. Bren should be able to do the same what an infantry section with no.4 can. Now Bren is just bad full auto no.4. Machine guns should be overpowered and devastating, well positioned Bren should pwn German squad running on the field. Right now you probably miss or kill one guy (if the German rifleman isn't really good) and then get shot by rifle.
