2pdr vs panzer IV D (short barrel) front - the panzer usually dies in up to medium distance engagements from 1 hit. unless you angle the hull -> decreasing the incoming damage.  you wont do miracles with this but it can help survive a 1 shot more than you would otherwise.

cant remember if the panzer IV F2 front is impenetrable.

about possible german bias with their heavy tanks like tiger & panther with the angle mod.

dont forget this also counts for the allied tanks.
the sherman front is quite nicely sloped, and so it the crusader.
while most early war german vehicles dont have this, pzIV, pz III, stugs ...

will hürtgenforst starts right off with tanks ?

no americans start with a couple of halftracks and later get tank support.
while the german armor is in reserve until the last line of defense.

tanks in the woods maybe sound a little overpowerd but nothing panzerfaust 60 cant handle.

just FYI  rifle grenades will have a crosshair, but it wont be a precision instrument  but works well enough to get elevation sorted out.  we tested without rifle grenade crosshair and that just didnt worked out.

removal of the crosshair promotes SMGs in CQC over the previous dominant semi auto rifles.  sure you can still spam with he semi rifles but wont be that effective as before.

as for hürtgen,  this is one intense map. often the words PR-like fell in teamspeak the environment can be your best friend and your worst enemy. a single hidden MG42 gunner can tear apart the whole enemy team if they run around in the woods. on the other side sneaking through the woods can give you great cover for flanking attacks.
combined with the new color correction filters that help blending in the environment laying ambushes is a very viable option in a well coordinated defense.

aircraft changes will be great but the big shitbricking thing will be the revised tank combat.

i also really love the MG26
it is like a bren gun but with a little less "felt " recoil (could be just an impression) but the best thing is iron sights that dont block your view that much. and it is another  german light machine gun besides the rare FG42 that can be fire from the hip and standing.
not as good as the FG42 but damn close to it.

FH2 Help / Support / Re: looking for a new gaming mouse

well in conclusion
i stayed at kind of low DPI settings right now i got 1500dpi as max setting.
but i am happy witht he mouse now, took quite a while to get everythign set up but it is nice now.

cant really tell say much about the r.a.t. 3
it seems to be missing  a few modification options (like the pinky rest and different palm rests, adjustable thumb rest)

also no horizontal scroll wheel (still haven't found much use for that so no biggy there)

so in general the r.a.t. 3 has nothing special over "normal" mouses like logitech mx518 or whatever and i wouldnt recommend it.
i guess there are other mice for less money that can do more than the r.a.t. 3

i only choose the r.a.t. 9 because of the customization options to get a "perfect" fit, thus justifying the high price.
the r.a.t.3 has none of those options (beside the fully customizable DPI setting) and is still quite pricey

Rome was great, Spartacus Blood & Sands in kind of Similar but covers less places, time and characters.  Still good to watch though.

anyway i just started watching Black Books http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0262150/
very small but also very funny British comedy. only 3 seasons with 6 episode each 20 min but just great stuff.

I would like to see some more vehicle pictures with these effects, and from 100-200 meters away. You know to see if they blend better on the world and don't stand out like some Christmas trees in forest. Like a Panther at the edge of the forest in the shadow of the trees or besides a farmhouse.

I really like how that grain sort of blends everything together, that way models don't stand out too much from each other and from the ground. Maybe camos will work a bit now.

the is a pictuer that i sadly cant show that shows of the camouflage effect very nicely

picture the white snowy map with lots of trees,(like this http://forgottenhope.warumdarum.de/screenshotsfh2/news/110117x/map01.jpg  BUT with the new shaders, also keep in mind this picture is very old and WIP)
and then there is a 57mm american AT gun somewhere in there, not even really hiding in the trees but simply placed so well you will have to look REALLY REALLY HARD to find it. it simply blends in so well.

also the white washed winter camouflage hetzer (http://forgottenhope.warumdarum.de/screenshotsfh2/news/101121/hetzer_win.jpg)

it is the perfect ambush vehicle, small , and quite easy to hide in some Forrest area or ditch etc.

same for german infantry winter camouflage, while testing you sometimes literally stumble upon and afk player and you only see him because the gun "sticks out".

in general camouflage has gained a lot, hiding in shadows and not moving(and firing) will make you very hard to spot from a distance.

crossing open fields without checking the "other side" with binocs or whatever for enemy's can turn into a bigger bloodbath then before.

This makes me an easy victim on random /b/ pranks.

BTW, why FH has ninjas? Didn't all camo attempts fail most of the time?

in 2.4 you now can be pretty sneaky with trying to blend in
