« on: 26-08-2013, 00:08:15 »
So, I just preordered the new Amnesia game while it is 20% off on steam. $15 is worth a good scare! I really enjoyed the first one, even if it took me 200x longer to beat it than a normal person. xD This game looks pretty fun! Anyone else getting it?

Gaming / What exactly is wrond with IL2 CoD
« on: 18-03-2013, 05:03:16 »
So, as the title says it. I hear the game used to be HORRID! Bad AI, bad performance, etc. But in it's current form, how is it? The only thing I hear anymore is just performance based, and with my new machine, I hear it will eat it up with no problem. Is this true?

If not, what exactly is wrong with it? I did buy it on steam for like 75% off, so I will find out in a couple weeks.

Gaming / Surge protector or UPS
« on: 12-03-2013, 03:03:32 »
So, I should have my Gaming rig finished soon. Going to use a 1000W PSU. Now, should I protect my investment with a good surge protector or UPS. If I got a UPS, what would I need? Our power is usually good. We do have the occasional power dips though.  But what do you all guys use?

Just heard about this. What do you all take of this? Is it real, how will it affect the average user who downloads the occasional pirated song, etc.

Been saving for a while and It is time to put together a gaming rig!

Been looking for a long time now and I think I have everything picked out.

I am 90% sure everything will work just fine together.

I plan on running two GPUs, but that will be down the road.

DVD/CD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827135204

I think that would be just about it for the tower.

I could use some help with making sure it all is compatible.

According to newegg, it will total $1,923.90. Of course I'll wait for sales/rebates/coupons and all, but does anyone have some tips for bringing costs down?  I know I'd like to keep the GPU and CPU, but if anyone knows of any other ways to save a bit, feel free to chime in. Otherwise, I'll be saving up! :P

Looking for good products and a system I can always tweak. Wanting this PC to last me the next 5 years in gaming, or at least I hope, and still be able to upgrade when time comes.

Gaming / Asusu P8Z68 and GTX570 SLI
« on: 09-05-2012, 02:05:06 »
Just wondering if the ASUS P8Z68 pro/deluxe can run the GTX570 in SLI.

Also, any other things I need to look out for? e.g. I just learned I need a PSU capable of SLI. I guess it has an extra connector for the second card? Not sure...

Off-Topic / Jagdpanzer A-O
« on: 28-02-2012, 22:02:48 »
Had a question about the Jagdpanzer A-0.

Did the Jagdpanzer A-O ever see action in the bulge, or was it just the Jagdpanzer IV L/70 that was used in the bulge?

Off-Topic / European Housing. Need help!
« on: 15-11-2011, 18:11:16 »
I know there is a fair share of Euros on this forum, maybe y'all can help me.  :P :-[

For modeling, I need more info on these houses.

What do the call that stuff that is in between the boards? Is it stucco, concrete, plaster? I know I should know this but I don't. And what is the type of building called? Any particular name for that style? :-[ Also, that thatch roof. I've never seen one like that. Are they putting something on the outside of it like tar, or is it made from something that makes it look that way? I'm not an expert on thatch.  ::)

Thanks for the help!

Suggestions / The Archer SPG
« on: 27-08-2011, 19:08:43 »
I just found this SPG called an archer! Looks cool!

"Design of the 17pdr as a high velocity anti-tank weapon comparable in hitting power to the Germaqn 88mm gun began in the fall of 1941. It was approved for production in mid 1942 and consideration was given to fitting it in tanks. Consideration was also given to the Bishop, but this was ruled out due to the vehicles high silhouette. The Crusader was ruled out as being too small and underpowered to take the mounting which left the Valentine as the only available alternative existing in quantity. The Ministry of Supply asked Vickers to design an entirely new SPG vehicle based on the Valentine. Work started in July 1942 and the pilot was ready for trials in March 1943. Named Archer, the SP was a low, open topped vehicle with a radical twist - the gun had a limited traverse and always pointed to the rear. The first production model was completed in March 1944 and used in North West Europe. What was at first considered to be only a temporary fix turned into a great success. A total of 665 of these hard hitting and trusty tanks were built out of an original order of 800 and remained in British inventory well into the 1950s."
