For those who asked for screenshots comparing old and new graphics:

^
The shadows stand out more, the bright sunny desert looks brighter and the overcast skys just look darker...

Btw, I also love the color correction ;)

New graphics (contrast&grain) reminds me of enb series a little bit, but looks much better!

A few of the screens are ironsighted, which replaces the old blur making noise and screen edges more intense instead.

Yea man great update to make me excited! Give me paaaaaaaatch!

O, one disappointment though, no new playermodel;(.

The player model is new.

Player model is WIP. We decided to show him anyway.

Well yea i noticed some changes but with new i ment like....snowy and stuff :).

Im looking forward to the graphics part, damn i didnt expect this. Dont really understand all the critism, we should aploud the courage it takes to change a dominant part of the game in such a creative way.

I totally love the new look. Is to FH2 what SPR's desaturation was to SPR... Yer, I breathed a sigh of relief when I heard the US model is WIP. I felt a tad underwhelmed.

And yer, I can't wait to hear the new sounds...

So I note in the video:
1. WIP US clothing - Big notiice is the boots.
2. Effects are all nice and snowy.
3. The blur is somewhat noted
4. Tank engine sound, or is it general distant sound
5. Confirmed use of snowy trees. Look lovely btw...
6. Did I get it a??

I just want to applaud Remdul's hard work in making the new effects. The picture don't show off the new grain as video's can do. You will notice a fine grain (much finer then Mass Effect for example) a very very slight blurring around the edges of the screen and the best of it all the color correction. The CC will give each map an unique feel.
A cold  winter map looks colder, a warm desert map makes you almost sweaty.
This has to bee seen in a fluid motion, pictures don't do credits here.

Also notice the sound of the snowy footsteps, you hear the soldiers equipment rattling and more impressive the improved distant sounds. The sound department has not been very active i'm pleased to say :)

FH2 has become the prettiest girl in class and she sounds nice too  ;D

Grain effect - it's a real godsent and you won't appreciate it untill you play 2.4 for the first 10 minutes. It's basically a free anti alisialing with no performance effect. Edges are smooth and the in-game world blends in a way it resambles the real deal.

As others said before - screenshots don't give justice to this marvel and frankly nor would a video. It's because your eye has a different focus priorities in-game than looking at a screenshot or a precomposed video. On a still image your eye will notice any imperfection and in this case the grain effect but when you play, you seek out for enemies and focus on everchanging enviroment - the grain may be noticeable only in very first minutes of play if not seconds.

All shapes don't have the perfect cut = immersion increased ten fold!

The teaser is just a small presentation of shaders true capability as you can't really judge untill you play it.

P.S. I'd also would like to know what you guys think of the teaser itself. Harsh and positive criticism alike are very much welcome (I try to improve so I need all opinions I can get).

Are there any 16:10 resolution versions of the screen shoots? I recogniced, that some of them are nice desktop beackgrounds  ;D. Especialy the sixth on the right side and the look through the window at PeB towards the church.

The grain effect in the video can be barely seen, about teaser itself - I liked artistic vision of it but there is something wrong in 0:23 there are no distant sounds for a moment and I don't like the black screen transition in 0:30 - it looks odd. Also the snow effect in the end a little bit spoils this teaser, because some ppl could think that it is an ingame snow which is not. :P

IMO, as far as I can tell, it looks like if someone dimmed down the brightness on my screen a good 20-40%.  Which would just be extremely annoying and irritating, especially for someone like me who has bad eyesight....

Yeah, I too have an eye problem that would probably conflict with this.

Basically I get to enjoy a bunch film grain in real life due to some unknown condition. So my "film grain" plus fh2s film grain.. is going to add up to a whole lot of grain.
