I want to know ifof the max Polycount for the bf2 engine (8000 for vehicles?)

These so called polycount limits for BF2,were mentioned over 5 years ago,for 5 year old PC's,as a very safe guideline, and nowadays you can run much much higher polys on objects without any noticeable loss in performance

74 867 poly Apache Longbow runs perfectly ingame, and looks  :o

Standing idle but engaging in mass suicide:

Load the map in the editor, show infantry navmesh, and check that they are spawning on the infantry navmesh
if not, move there spawn points onto the infantry navmesh,so there is a green dot under the spawn position, and not a red dot

Thanks Devliman....in fact your videos where the inspiration for the work I'm doing!

Ah,shucks, thats so nice to hear  :)

Also never underestimate the simplicity of doing coding with just notepad
99% of what I do,is done with notepad

Singleplayer and Coop / Re: performance improvement

OK. I stand corrected. The extra bots just don't receive commander orders, but they do something. Cheers.

It seems that the so called "active bot limit",has been a common misconception for years
Even one of the BF2/DICE coders,Power Poker, was under the same impression
Even though he did a lot of AI coding for DICE himself  ???

ah okay i didnt knew, but what i ment was that there is a layer of water above the real water line, lets say 30 to 50 cm that moves like waves

That movement of water, is controlled by the waters animation code
It can be found in a maps server/water file
and looks something like this

Quote
renderer.waterScroll 0.1/0.1
renderer.waterAnimSpeed 150
renderer.waterColor 0.1/0.25/0.3
renderer.waterSpecularColor 0.901961/0.866667/0.792157/1
renderer.waterSpecularPower 65
renderer.waterFogColor 32.00/180.00/192.00
renderer.waterFogStartEndAndBase 0.00/50.00/0.00/0.00
terrain.waterSunIntensity 0.8

The bullet was never going where I was aiming,

Did you change/lower your weapons, zoom deviation/deviation code as well ?

I went and retried it later with no deviation or recoil, same result, even more noticeable.

correct me if i am wrong,as i know very little about animations
but shouldnt you of altered the Zoom Fire animation

If it worked in MP without significant performance drop ... it'd be wonderful.

if you can see your normal tank wreck in MP (which you can)
I see absolutely no reason why this idea wont work in MP,as it uses basically the same principle, and shouldnt cause any noticable performance drop,as only 1 wreck at a time is being displayed

It was not intended or directed at you Devilman. It's just my general feeling I get when people attempt to shoot holes in others work. I think you're willingness to experiment is greatly appreciated by me.

HA HA,I know who it was directed at  ;)
I just posted that so,that LHeureux wouldnt feel like such a loser
