Modding / Re: French Hope

I really hope this gets merged into FH2. My experience with small mods on bf1942 is that they often get low amount of players. Like that norwegian resistance mini mod for FH1. If it had been included to FH1 those maps with those veichles would be played alot more. Guess im saying is I hope it wont go so much work into this awesome prosject and then no one plays it.

I can't get used to have a joystick in FH2 for some reason. I can't get the throttle to work and the lack of free look is bad for me. Even with those problems set aside I still find the keyboard (and sometimes mouse) a better option.

It's not difficult to fly really. Although I can agree that dogfighting ain't my thing in FH2. Although im good at it in IL-2 :P. Cockpit in itself ain't a problem either, but we dont see very and that combined with the cockpit makes it a bit difficult sometimes to have the complete overview.

Firstly: Awesome!

Second: Yeah something is fishy about that big file size. A map can't be that big so the only explanation must be that there is something else big in this patch. Something big.. like a, maus?

In all seriousness I belive a big file size dosent necessarily mean that there will be super much added, but if a old map get a small change you gotta download the whole map again right?

Off-Topic / Re: The Book Club

I continue my recommendation of Blood Red Snow, by  Gunter K. Koschorrek, as being by far, imo, the best memoir by a german soldier in WW2 yet.

I can second that opinion, really good book. Not just because the lafette :P

Yeah thats the book :)
While we're on it I would also recommend Blood Red Snow. Reading books like that makes me sad that there are so few movies about the eastern front.

I just read a book which some of the story was in the Battle of Memel. Sounds like a really good scenary for a eastfront map. A rocky, foggy terrain by the shore, preferrably at night, amongst the crushed ruins of the town. German naval artillery if possible, and russian armored advances.

I also read such a book. A map based on that would be awesome. What was your book called?
My book is called "The forgotten soldier", or atleast that is the name after I translate the title from Norwegian.

Seeing that coin makes me realise Sweden is just a misshaped dick without Norway.
