The Hurt Locker
Two American soldiers in Iraq with less then a month left before they rotate back home gets a new NCO who's there to help them disarm IED's. And a story regarding the question if the new NCO is out for kicks when it comes to disarming the IED's or if he's out to kill them before they rotate back...

Had some moments here and there during the two hours it went on but still, an overall weak movie.
Really?  I just read a review in the NY times and it said it was a spectacular film.

Gods and Generals 8/10

The action was a bit chopped up, not too consistent, and the movies sometimes came across as the life and times of stonewall jackson + supporting characters, but the action was good and the battle scenes were impressive and the acting was high quality.

Gettysburg 9/10

I can't really fault it, the acting was less impressive than in Gods and Generals (I though Robert E Lee was less impressive, and Chamberlain was different), but the battle scenes were tense, inspiring, and awesome and all the characters fit together really well. A bit lengthy at 4 hours.
Twilight - the movie is just like Schindler's list... You know you're watching a crime against humanity, but it's sort of entertaining.~~Ts4EVER

The Road
This movie is about a father and his son trying to live whilst in a post apocalyptic world and avoiding cannibals. The movie is creepy in some parts which im not going to say because of spoiler and tense in others. The charachters are in depth and  the presentation of the scenery is good. You really get a sense of the enviroment.
Probably the most scariest thing about the movie is that it can actually happen unlike 2012 or any hollywood movie. Obviously the actors are not skeleton like skinny because that would be against human rights but the person who played the father did look as though he lost a lot of weight and he played very well.

Overall i give this movie 9.5/10 since i couldnt really find any major faults with it except the scene where the father and son (spoiler alert) saw a woman and her son being chased by cannibals and the woman looked as though she had just come from a shopping mall even her clothes looked quite cleen.

Stand by me

Can't remember the last time I saw this movie, I just had some small memories of it.

Anyhow, great movie. It's just under 90 minutes long, still it takes the time to tell a good story and does it well. A great movie about coming of age and also about friendship.

So young actors and still such a good movie. Really liked it, thought it would rape my memory totally, a nice "re-watch"

A Fish Called Wanda.

John Cleese, Michael Palin, Jamie Lee Curtis and a small tropical fish... Can't go wrong with these.
Definitely not "Monty Pythony", but the parts with Palin are quite silly indeed.
In a nutshell: Very enjoyable comedy film with great actors.

4/5

I just watched the new sherlok holmes
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0988045/

i was pleasantly surprised by the movie.
The action was good, the characters were played very well (although i must admit i really like Robert Downy Jr. cant wait for Iron Man II)
The role of holmes is somewhat different than other adaptation, less sophisticated and more rough and "insane" which i really liked.
specially the fighting scenes were done very well and i didnt expect any of those to be in the movie in the first place.
"

The story was fine but leaves you with a semi cliffhanger in the end which screams for a second part.
all in all a nice popcorn flick with not that much depth but still a good movie and worth the 2 hours of your live if you watch it.
7/10

So, I was watching the Iron Man 2 trailer and it hit me. The trailer was so good that I got a great urge for seeing the the first movie again which I liked a lot when it came.

And I still like it, Robert Downey Jr as Stark, the industrialist playboy being kidnapped and then creating this golem of destruction and all that.

Can't wait for part two.

Trailer can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=siQgD9qOhRs&hd=1

Avatar 3D

So I did it at last. I did go to watch Avatar 3D. I said that "I wouldn't go through any trouble to see it". I did now though.
What can I say, it lived up the expectations I had; "boring and meaningless". I got that from just having watched the trailer, everyone said "you can't judge it by the trailer! you got to watch it!". Well I did. I didn't change my mind, only confirmed my suspicions.

I seriously do not understand what's with all the hype this movie has gotten. Nor do I understand how it could have cost as much money as it did. It was very good looking I give Cameron that, but not beyond "good looking". It looked like an average modern computer-animated movie (of course, among the top of the line, but still not that extra-ordinary).

It wasn't good at all.
in whole, as a movie, it was "okay". a really mediocre film. I can't say that it was a bad movie, it wasn't. But neither was it a good movie.
I sat through the enitre thing not being affected a single bit. I just sat there still watching it, eyelids half closed with an un-interested look upon my face.

When the movie was done, I just shrug my shoulders and said "meh".

Story: Pocahontas

Look at this: http://failblog.files.wordpress.com/2010/01/epic-fail-avatar-plot-fail.jpg

The 3D was pretty good though. Though I did sit far in the back (which did not make it that impressive) it looked good and more "alive". Much more depth in the screen. But it did not feel THAT good either. You only really noticed it when something was put in the extreme foreground of the screen.

If only they'd put the sex in :P :D
Haha yeah that would have been hilarious to watch :P

Easy for them to rape eachother, just walk up to someone behind their back, then take your pony-tail and put into theirs.

I didn't like that pony-tail thingy either. felt creepy/disgusting.

Burn After Reading

Holy shit, watched this one last night, genius movie by the Coen brothers.

Movie portrays how a generic CIA/action movie would turn out in real life, great confusing story.

Good comedy, certainly worth the watch! 8/10
