Because it´s simply awesome to find a crashbug on a releasecandidate, few days before the release and therefore doing what you are meant to do (allthough Toddel and Natty might have got some grey hairs more that time  8) )

I said yes.

I was a bit surprised I got the message of recruitment, because nobody here knows what I look like, so it can't be my natural charms...  ::)

Pre 2.2 I was getting a bit tired of FH2 and I was already thinking about swicthing to other games, but then this message made me stay. It made FH2 interesting again for me.

Testing can be fun, it can be tedious, but the feeling you get when a big bug (especially the infamous crashbug) is great, I can't really describe it.

The best one was my first, jumping in and out of a certain vehicle, switching to all positions till the "There is a problem with your connection". It sounds weird, but at such a moment, you are happy to read that!

The other crashbugs were epic too. Yes, bughunting is my fav thing.

It's a natural thing to do, to make you favourite mod better where possible.
Being a beta tester is one the best thing members of this community can do to contribute,
because the others stuff, modelling, skinning and map building is real real really hard work.
I know I've done them all  :)

Of course - It sounds kinky *tadabester* *giggles*.  Other than that, no not really. I couldn't deal with frequent crashing, faulty versions, glitching, and other miserable crap before the majority is buffed out. With all that stuff, I might come to bad conclusion about this mod... :D

-So can I go through all the armor/vehicles pre-release and call out anything I feel is wrong or find any mistake I can, as that's pretty much what I do now over at WaW. Also, point out things for balancing in gameplay vehicles-wise, that doesn't counteract history.

Time and dedication is not a problem for me. I've been here since .5s release and have way too much time on my hands after work on weekdays already spent looking at the BF2editor and shit.

Proficient enough with the editor and .tweak/con files to be able to find the bugs myself.

Tbh, it'd more or less to be able to get advice on how to start modding shit myself and point out the little things.

Michael Wittmann's gunner, Bobby Woll, was known to be an excellent Marksman.
He could hit targets at range even on the move.

I accepted the invite because I wanted to help out.  I mean, if my help gets a better game out faster, then I think it's worth it.  Unlike other people, I actually didn't get into it just to see the new stuff.  I'm a little disappointed that I don't get the mass-surprise factor of new releases, but the little surprises that crop up more regularly almost make up for it.

It's just a shame that, between looking for a job and moving to a new house, I don't have enough time to devote to testing right now...

Well here it goes my road/story to become a tester.

Either way I started out in the F|H Tournament playing then eventually I joined there Testing team and was there for around 1 full year, I was also lucky that on the same testing team for the F|H testing team were 2 Beta testers and they noticed me and my eager/time spend and the fact that I always showed up for the testing’s and was very devoted towards the Mod/testing.
So when the Mod looked for testers around 1 year ago now or basically just after Normandy was released they suggested me to the Mod team and I was in luck, and received a mail with an invite.

And I have to say the euphoria I experienced when I was joining the testing team, was beyond describable, I am so happy that I am a part of the Testing team and the Mod and that I have the possibility to help make this a better Mod and help reduced glitches/bugs etc. off cause there are huge plusses like that we get to see map and equipment but remember a lot off it doesn’t work when we get it, that’s were the testers like me come in to the picture, we are there to make it work to make sure ones it is release it works and is something the public can enjoy and play with and have fun with, and yes we are whipped and yes we are tortured, nahh to be honest some times like that last patch that hade around a 1000 plus minus a few, bug fixes, sounds, glitches, game play tweaks, balance issues, etc in it was really really hard to test and isn’t always fun, but we get it done for 1 simple reason the release day is one off the biggest things at least it is for me seeing peoples comments in game and on the forums after a release, and besides its loads off more fun to play it with the public after release.

Doing testing I am also making sure that every thing is being tested even if it means I have to doo things to the other testers doing testing that they hate or will dislike me for but I doo it to make sure the point is well made or that it is something that if in need to be changed its clearly understandable bye my actions, I am always trying to stay true to the testing as much as possible and what we are being told to test and follow the Devs advice/orders, and give the suggestion/advice to the mappers/devs as I think they shut be in a fair manor towards both game play and the Mods philosophy.

I have been a Beta tester for around 1 year now, and I am not leaving ever, if I can avoid it. Plain and simple this mod is THE MOD! For me and have been sins day 1 of FH1 release were I played this and fell in love and I have been here ever since, witch is actually a really really long time bye now. And i can almost say with a 100% confidence that i have played this Mod almost 1 time atleast every week for the past feew years with offcause a feew eceptions.

Yes - and no

I'd be excellent for detecting bugs since I've always loved to crash the system for every game I play and I have a 1001 suggestions that could have more use if I BTed... However, I'm terrible at time-management, my internet connection sucks balls - when it exists at all, and I'd be killing the fun from the game for myself.

Yer, I'd love to stay put...

Haha, this made me laugh, i have yet to meet a black african that is born and raised in africa that has good time management. When i meet with an african friend, and they say be there at 2, i arrive at 2:30 and am still the first one there. It's so funny :p

The same could be said for all people living in the warmer regions of this planet. They are all more chilled then us 'coldies'.

Very short=No

Even if one of the guys come to me and says=coughcoughcoughcoughchurchillscoughcoughcoughyamkiiitomkviiacough

I am a tester on several mods. and while it is fun, it spoils things. I like to wait for a release, to await to the day it arrives, to see the content finnaly wich i saw on newsposts, and those wich we did not . to see the new map changes, to see the new bugs ( giggity ;D ) and so on

To people that wanna become a tester in a mod some day i recommend=
1.Ask yourself why you wanna be one. Is it because you wanna see all the new things? Or because you wanna help the devs with testing, find bugs, speed up release dates and to please the community?

2 Stay with one mod. Unless you have lots of spare time

3. Devote yourself to it a bit, and listen towards what people say in the public

4. Dont be biased to one side/faction. If you suggest a balance change for your personal gain and not because of an actuall balance issue (Like saying that shermans should one shot a panther tank from the sides)  ;D ;D
