What does the writing on the fuselage say?I thought the Soviet War Cry was "Za Rodinu! Za Stalina!" & they painted these words on their vehicles?
You are bathing in misery and hope, waiting for someone to come and pull the plug.
The perspective may be misleading, but this is the m/1943 (IL-2M) with the 23mm guns, and not the m/1944 (IL-2M3), correct? The wing would not seem to have the sweepback of M3.

While 23mm was IL-2 Type 3No, I meant IL-2m3 aka m/1944 (most of which had only 23mm guns), NOT IL-2 Type 3M (Plus I thought 37mm versions were made from m/1943?)But, this has the straight wing, right, so is Type 2 aka IL-2M?
Exactly, who cares either way? How about we skip the IL altogether, it's all old and lame. Let's put in F-35s with lasers on them! That's cool, right?
