It is a bad idea because FH is not idiot-proof. Imagine 8ppl in truck getting killed becuse they didn't hear nearby panzer when stupid driver turned on the radio and refused to switch it off even when his comrades ask him to...
But I support your idea - it could be used on eastern front maps in future for broadcasting propaganda slogans from russian "comand" vehicles! [/trollin]

well, my post is gone. I was sarcastic when I posted that trollface, but it could piss you off, so sorry for trolling. What you say is completely clear and it is well known fact that FHGN is your pride. Using the (reserved) FHGN name is inappropriate. And btw, it is a pity that I never had the opportunity to participate in any of your GNs...  :-[

If you want to be technical about it, he said, "Forgotten Hope 2 Game Night," not Forgotten Hope Game Night.
I lol'd at this and simply couldn't deter from recalling it.  :P

...why can't we get for example some Lili Marleene on some trucks (or Jeeps, Dodges, whatever had a radio then) in FH2? Would add to the atmosphere IMO while waiting to get to the enemy lines on Supercharge, or El Alamein....
In this game, ppl are always on active battlefield, there is no time for waiting, except waiting in defending positions when you should rather listen for enemy units to come. If I were your SL and you will turn on some radio shit, I would simply annihilate you and kick you from my squad.

I support the idea, but I play FH for enough long time (even if I am a newbie on forum) to realise that FH is not only about gameplay but also about visual effects (which makes FH better than any bf mod ;) )

I know, thats why I want it back, but better, its possible because it isnt buggy in PR, and i dont know what you mean by ungly ><

well, I think that by ugly he means what you just have shown us in that sreenshot...  :P
I still hope that it is possible in some other way or there is a way to make it look nicer.

And btw, I'm tired of looking at tons of suggestion, even if many of them is really good, but no one of us really knows what's coming in 2.4 and I'm sure that NONE of these will taken under consideration at this stage when new patch is approaching. Devs and betas are probably working (hard) on polishing to perfection current improvements (added to beta a long time ago).

mines.. mines SUCK.. unless its a really small tank like a P2 or stuart a mine wont just KABOOM a tank..a tiger doesnt blow up from a mine.. tracks get damaged.. id rather see the engine die in a tank then it blow up from mine..  if that was put back it that would be awesome.

...if immobile kills coudl be brought to them then i woudl go 1 shot to jeep to stop it 2 to blow it.. 2 to a truck to stop it 3 to kill it.

In order to have an engine kill (...) the tires would disapear.

before I will condemned to exile for that post:
In the sake of clarification - I just wish that some of their modellers/coders will join FH2 and help with accelerating the development. I didn't mean any kind of merging these two COMPLETELY different mods but we can't deny them talent, and FH2 needs more talented developers... (I hope that you get my point)

I didn't really like what you did with the Thompson and the MP40, they sounded a bit weird in my opinion.
I know that this is an individual matter and I agree with Thompson sound but in my opinion it's the best MP40 sound ever.

and btw, isn't MP40 in game shooting to fast?

It sounds great, especially I love sound of a passing bullet in 1:40 but as Natty said:
Ambience sounds with fake battle sounds built-in is just so 2000's  8)
and it sucks. Everything else is amazing, maybe except sound of a thompson which is in my opinion a little bit odd.

Great suggestion Irish!!

There should be some advertisement of upcoming FH2.4 ingame to attract players (new players) to visit FH page. Also I fully support idea of weakly updates on facebook with some images and links to the page (by this I mean announcements on an equal footing with home page, do not do something extra) as facebook "rule the world" nowadays...  :P

To the rest of the people here on the forum: spread the word of FH out to your friends!

would be nice to have FHSW devs in FH2 team. Luchs is one of the most detailed model for old bf I have ever seen.

but Ramelle was a different story, Muese river is also a fictional (or some kind of "what if") map but exception proves the rule as they say and it was kind of a tribute to the players. Do not expect the next one (in this style)... :P

I hope that limit for fictional maps has been reached - it's better to suggest and push devs to create a custom map pack for officiall release (what I mean is official devs support for the best custom maps just as it was in FH1 times) - there are many maps which deserves online playing.

Map is great, my favourite custom map but it will never be official because of historical inaccuracy AFAIK. It would be probably easier to find some battle which fits better to the scenery of this map than Battle of Bloody Gulch which took place near Carentan on D-Day + 6/7 ? (it looks more for autumn than a summer, and I do not know whether it is similar to the real site of Hill 30 etc.) This map has also some serious bugs...
