In briefing #58 of Hell Let Loose, Lead Designer Max Rea shows FH2 love and where their team used inspiration  for their upcoming PHL map based on the work of retired Dev Natty.

On a side note: spawnrape is part of the game. Ofcourse there should be clever placed spawn points and enough of them. But you will never get total randomness. Afterall, nobody forces people to hit the spawn button in a zone that is in danger.
Perhaps the new changes to the server rules encourage squadding up and making the protection of the SL a priority so teammates can spawn safely.

Squad work with VOIP leads to teamwork which promotes better gameplay/experience. Less lone wolfing.

Aserafimov, I believe we still have most of those specific statics on the SVN because I was working on Stavelot before I had to retire due to RL commitments. The church, bridge, fountain and abbey <--(WIP). Talk to Malsa, he was working on the abbey a few years ago. Also, TS has knowledge of these.

Actually there is a setting in the files of fh2 to remove chat or kill messages, I forget what file or line it is, but add the word "NOT" to it.

mods\fh2\menu_server.zip\HUD\HudSetup\Communication\

Hey TS,

If you want to lock those two flags up and make them non-recaptureable, that's fine by me. Iwould do it myself but I won't be active for a few more months as real life work and money for my new laptop is the reason for my extended hiatus.

Also I read a suggestion where an increase in the number of tickets would like be something good thing for the 64 player map when they have over 64+players.

welcome to the bf2 spotting system   :P


i hoped someday fh2 would just remove spotting the enemy on the minimap entirely. i hated that about bf2, a team can see the enemy movements on the minimap by spotting... bf42/fh1 did not have that. lame game feature by bf2 imo. devs please consider removing this feature in the future, thanks.

I believe it is possible. I remember Archy disabled the audio but I can't remember if he was able to remove the annoying in-game text. I'll ask him again because when I play and hear that being spammed I want to break my headset!

Problem with me joining WOLF is that it shuffles all of the teams once a map finishes. I understand that it's for balancing the teams, but when I am playing with 3-4 of my other friends, we really don't want to spend 10 minutes every round trying to switch sides and set up a squad.

Also, after getting a solid pubby fireteam together we get broken up at round end. I hope their is a way to remedy this issue.

I agree that you get perfect aim too fast in FH2 after running or jumping. I think PR overdid it a bit, but somewhere in the middle would fit FH2 best.

The only one of these maps it is possible for you to have seen is Keren.  How then are you to judge that they have 'quality' enough to make a release?

FH2 has over 35 quality maps in the mod and several still in the development stages...R U Serious? hahaha

I suggest you apply to the team as an applicant mapper and experience for yourself the high standards we have for our maps before they get released. Hell, I'll take you under the wing so you can hear first hand the insane level of dedication needed to get a map into the mod. Only then will you understand the lunacy of your comments.  :D

In two days you will understand why all the devs and testers struggle to play 2.3 pubby. Their is no comparison!!

Friday will be a day you remember as the biggest step forward in the mods history. The experience will be crazy with many happy gamers.
