Use of Trucks

Hey everyone,

Recently when I was playing online, I realised that trucks and such unarmed vehicles are not used much. What can be done to make these trucks look more attractive? I dont have many ideas so Im kindly asking for everyone else's. Thanks. ;)

An idea I had just now off the top of my head would be to turn them into spawn points and disable most forward spawn points. It would make them more useful but I'm not sure how many people would like it.

I think to really use trucks effectively as of now, the battle has to be very well organized with an organized supply chain and chain of command. You might find more coordination like this on one of the online tournaments.

With current number of players they almost have no use. If you ever played on the 128 player server you would see that they were actually used as there wasn't always a tank/jeep/other vehicle available for every player.

maybe they should work as supply "depots",where you could replenish ammo and such things.

They already do. (inf ammo only afaik)

They resupply tanks as well. Drop the same ammo boxes that are available in the ammo kit.

I really want to see a trucks, each of them full of soldiers driving on a road. It would be so realistic.

That's what people use halftracks for atm. They are faster, got a gun, can probably take more shots. No reason for trucks to do the job. But I agree that a change on the trucks would not be wrong. Atm they are just used when really nothing else is avaiable.

I don't see why that should change. Obviously APC will always be better at transporting people to battle. People will always pick APC over truck. And truck will always be the last choice for most people  :P

maybe a system to attach the AT guns on the trucks and move the AT faster to anywhere you can? A system like this:

This hasn't been developed yet with any success, so while the idea is sound, it doesn't work ingame (it is buggy).

Maybe some trucks could carry pick up kits or drop mines on the battlefield?
