With this version of the mod, will I need to purchase a copy of the game from origin? Is that a thing? It's been a while since Ive gamed haha.

Thanks for your speedy reply man, yeah I do have an original CD version, but the version I'm using is not a direct CD install, I'd have to get the disk cleaned again, though, knowing a little bit about the 42 engine, I've already ruled this out as being the issue. I have the download from the official site (via file front), three parts, an installer. Installs fine. Have tried copious re-installs of the game and the mod, I have also downloaded the installer twice to be sure it was not some how corrupt. FH just does not want to play.

I'm using the latest version of 42 as well, 1.6, patched with the official patch, from file front once again. I'm not ruling out a compatibility issue as a possibility, I'm also using a 28 inch monitor, and have tried a few FH wide screen/compatibility patches/mods, to no prevail.

Also, it's probably important to mention no matter what map, or mode I'm trying to load (LAN/online/single player), it loads the load screen fine, loads for about 5 seconds, then just crashes to desk top, no error message. I remember that there are tools to open the game in a sort of safe mode and get error messages, or maybe that was the test map function on battlecraft.. That might be what I need.

I desperately want to play FH42 again, yet every time I load a map it CTD's with no error message, a windows error sound can occasionally be heard, 42' and DC play fine, upgraded to the latest patch and everything should be in working order, have tried or compatibility fixes, with no success. Any help!?

I'm on Windows 7 Enterprise :/.. Decent PC, hardware is defiantly not the issue, can anyone shed some light on this for me?

THeTA0123 That shit there is nice, I'm going to try to flip that.

Thanks for all your post so far, good stuff, I'll post the flips when I'm done.

To clarify, music from the 1940's.

von.small, Mainstream music as a whole is overpaid bullshit, I don't listen to main stream.

Hi guys, as some of you know, I'm heavily involved in production of music, most of this production revolves around sampling. I just thought of an untapped source! I know many of you are interested in or educated on WWII music, can any one link, or tell me some decent albums, artists and all round good stuff to sample? I really like the sounds of that era, and in my sort of music these type of samples come up great. I'm already working on sampling some tracks I found in the BF2 mod folder, and have sampled songs from EOD before, lol, BF2 mods are doing my digging for me!

Samples sounding like this and alike are great:

Keep in mind that's the song after it has been sampled, the songs I'm looking for would sound more like the first 20 odd seconds of that song.

Thanks

The only open FTP server on BF games just downloads a file that is 0kb and brings up this stupid password shit. For me, this is probably the worst time they could of have ever released FH2.
