I've been starting to take more and more black and white photos lately and putting my Zeiss Ikon Bob 510 in good use. All pictures taken with Kodak Tmax 100.

Here's two pictures that I took when I was at Drottningholm palace in Sweden.

Both are taken with my Zeiss Ikon Bob 510 using Kodak Tmax 100

And here's a picture of my mom holding an old friend.
He was put to sleep just two days after this picture was taken. His kidneys had started to fail and he was in a lot of pain.

Thank you.

I feel I'm learning more and more for every new roll of film I do.
I'm like addicted to old cameras. I've only been taking photos for about a year when I bought my first film camera, a Rolleicord V. Now I have 5 old cameras  :P
My latest camera in the collection is a large-format camera from 1921.
This:

Can't wait to try it out

Whats that ? Looks like a Bergheil 9x12 or Zeiss Ikon Ideal to me. In both cases, great camera ! If you got the Tessar lens on it get ready for some seriously good pictures you can get out of it stopped down to around f/8. That thing has mighty resolution.

Also, you can maybe look for a RADA or ROLEX holder for medium format film, its a bit cheaper than shooting 9x12. There are different sizes like 6x7, 6x9 and even 6x12 which really is bloody awesome to shoot.

Classic camera addiction is untreatable. Once you start shooting film you never stop it.

Also, the world looks just better through a big viewfinder :>

No it's a Orionwerk A.G. Hannover Rio 20C. It uses 9x12 cm film, which unfortunately is hard to find today  :-\
Some of it's specs:
COMPUR-Shutter
Doppel-Anastigmat
Helioplan 1:6.8 F=135mm

So no Tessar lens I'm afraid.

When I bought the camera it came with a lot of old film, some never opened. I wonder if they are still some what light sensitive. They are almost 100 years old. But I'll also try to get some new film. It's a shame Kodak don't have any 9x12 cm film. Most seems to have only the 5x4"

Unfortunately I haven't got the time to try the camera out right now, since I'm moving to Japan in 2 weeks. And I can't take it with me at the moment.

Cool stuff, never seen one actually.  But apparently you got something real nice there, lens seems very good. The Doppel-Anastigmat is a very good symmetrical Gauss lens design used in many of today's high end lenses like Zeiss' Planars or Leicas Summicrons. Its basically the same lens design, unchanged for ages. Most probably 4 Elements (could be 6 too since its quite slow, 4 Elements was mostly 4.5, one stop faster) just like the Tessar too. Anyway, fine piece you got there, maybe even something collectible since the company apparently vanished from the market quite qickly. Could be something rare actually.

Regarding film, as i said, check out the RADA backs. They fit any 9x12, and you can shoot normal medium format film. Only thing you have to do is draw some framelines on your focusing screen with a pencil or cut out some cardboard to cover the unused area. Im sure they fit your camera too, the 9x12 cassettes where pretty much standard. Also, its always nice to have one in case you cant get your hands on large format film.

Just came back from a trip to Cairo and the pyramids:

Looks like it was taken in the 1930s (notice that I managed to get a good shot with zero people in it):

This one was taken around midnight and I had to push the camera to the ground with 90 seconds shutter speed (at this point I was quite drunk):

The strong sun made it very difficult to get nice pictures but they still tunred out better than what I hoped for.

Camera was my good ol' Praktika MTL 5B and the film was Efke 50 ISO.

I love the work you guys put in those pictures with acutal films in the cameras. If you only have 30 shots to make, you think before you take a photo. It clearly enhances the quality.
