I'm off to Crete next week and I wonder if anyone has tips on where to go to see marks from ww2?
Interested both in the invasion and the occupation. I'll be living near Chania on the more western part of the island and I don't intend to rent a car to go to the east coast just to see a bunker or some bullet holes.

If I remember right Maleme Airfield is quite close to Chania. Is there anything to see there?
