I for one don't care which beach it is as long as we get to fight ON the beach (not like Gold in FH1) ...

Well we have a lot of maps that are started but never finished. I don't know if someone ever wants to finish it or if it's worth finishing. All I know is that now we are not working on an Omaha Beach map.

make a contest! everybody make a as real as possible looking Omaha beach map, the best map will be tweaked  further to met the demands and looks of every other fh2 map.

set some outlines for what such a map needs, how big, what kind of bunkers, gameplay ect.

Yer, also make the effort to make it real to life - I might be wrong, but with 2x2km map, we can even have it to 1:1 scale - Also gives the Allies an area to flank from if the beach is that wide and more to do when the beach defenses are taken i.e. Ohama Fh1 meet Gold Beach FH1 (Best of both worlds)

@Beufort, then its a American or Canadian beach then...

Yep, either of them would be fine.

omaha will fail in the game imo.
32vs 32
32 Us guys running over an open beach vs 32 entrenched germans, with tank bunkers and hidden mgs.

That just work when you send 1000nd soldiers at the same time to rush the beach.

Wasn't Juno planned/worked on

There are ways to make it work, like spawn points way back from the defenses and firepower for the allies etc.

It worked in FH0.7, why not here?

Works on RO too with 50 players. I see no reason why it shouldnt work. FH2 has some excelent mappers in my opinion. Go mappers! Hoo Hoo Hoo!

I don't see why you guys need a sanctioned contest from us to make any kind of map. If you like mapping, create a good map and apply as a dev. Do you think Toddel waited for a modeling contest to create stuff for FH2? Do you think Guderian waited for a mapping contest to begin work on Villers Bocage? Pfft I say.

Note that the 762 medal system is inofficial.

Also note that the unofficial ranking on 762 just triggers code bits for medals that were created earlier during tests and that have no set rules.

note also how unwise it is for a server of such a small community to run hacked awards
