If you don't have PS+ or Uncharted 3 there are other ways to get in on this in the coming weeks.
http://starhawkthegame.com/publicbeta/

The one game coming out this year I truly did not give a rats ass about.  3rd person shooter with a lame sci-fi theme, please  ::) .....But after playing a bit of the very limited beta I have to say this is a must buy!  Right now a great deal of the features are limited and or disabled and it is only two smallish maps with 8 vs 8 on a capture the flag mode.  That only leaves a couple guys to stay back and build the main base up and defend the flag while the other 5 guys try and set up a forward base and raid the enemy main.
Even with all these limitations in place it is a fantastic game with a great deal of potential.  The developers seem really keen on getting all the kinks out before release so this also acts as a true beta with little shit patches coming out every week to add functions they want to test and tweak some balance issues.  If you have the opportunity you really should check this game out.

Wish Sony invested some in PC gaming. They have some great concepts like MAG, Little Big Planet, Warhawk/Starhawk that would probably work even better on the PC. Shame.

Yeah I have to agree....Starhawk is probably the first console game that I will join a clan to play.  It is very team orientated.  I have had some rounds completely ruined by crap teamwork and had other rounds that have had more teamwork than I have ever experienced in TS3 with 32 players all working together.  The build and battle system combined with the paper, rock, scissors units make for some great game play.  Though some bitch I really like how the devs are going away from the idea of crafting a piece of art for the player and instead giving the players the tools to play the game how they want to for better or worse.
Anyway the new patch is out with only a fraction of the final release content and it is amazing.  Download this ASAP.  Doublemanned tanks are so fun.   ;D

Ill get it today/tomorrow. You've convinced me. Thanks for the heads up lainer!

I downloaded this, it is pretty sweet how it's like RTS meets shooter. I love building sniper towers and blasting peoples faces off

The game is out..Buy it.  I love the release.  The game takes all the old game standards of the devs "designing a game the way they want it" and throws that shit out the window.  You live and die by your teammates in this game.  A great deal of action with teamplay that makes PR look like COD4.

The Gameplay videos do look like it's really fun, but alas... I do not own a PS3 and never will.

I actually bought one last week so I'm really interested in this. Not big on console shooters (yet) but if it's good, I'd like to put some effort into it.
FH2 is the game, DarklyDreamingDexter is the name.
