Seriously though, this game is alot more fun when the guys you play with talk. Whether you know them or just met them. I don't know what would be the best way to encourage a culture shift, but I think it would add much more fun to every match.
(quoted to get off of the genital topic)
I don't consider language barrier a reason why talking in squads doesn't happen. Sure there are some that cannot. Lots of people don't talk, but I don't think it has to do with all of them not speaking English. Other games have a higher level of communication and teamwork, and don't suffer from the barrier complaint. Of course you can't force people to talk or have a mic. In my old clan we had a few deaf members. They weren't capable of listening nor answering. But along with the language barrier, I doubt 90% of FH2 players are deaf.
I think we are here
- A majority of FH2 players have some English communication ability (German Tank West).
- A majority of FH2 players have a mic or should be able to get one (
cheap)
- The best FH2 games involve great squad communication
- The boring fh2 games usually involve no squad communication, regardless of the map (any africa map with good squad coms == 285% more fun)
- Good squad communication is rare at best
The best matches are when you can talk to guys and have fun. Almost no matter how awesome you pwn by yourself, it still isn't as fun and rewarding as doing it with a good squad. How can the community encourage the social part of the game that is lacking at times.
If you knew that you could join any ALPHA, BRAVO, CHARLIE squad and have great squad communication, would the game be more fun your you? I hate joining a map and all three squads on my side are the generic names and all the members of those squads are just running around randomly. Why even play.
How can the community or game encourage more squad communication? I don't know how. But I know if that just everyone on the FH Forums and the tournaments would use their in game voice on the pubbies, it would be a lot more fun.
