Pretty awesome, but the guns are weak. Need a headshot with the M1 Garand to do any damage. If you stand next to an enemy and fire a bazooka at your feet, it only kills you, not him.

I had some funny knife fights though, and the mechanics are pretty cool. Takes forever to get anything more than your first rifleman though.

Upgraded you can make it one hit kill (or at least you could with K98, but then you needed 5$ per round to use it + 10 $ for the upgrade itself  :o). The guns aren't that weak, but you have health regen and their accuracy is horrible (expect to miss anything past 150 m with the Garand).
This sentence is intentionally left unfinished...

Just stumbled upon this game, looks interesting. Hoping they tone down on the 'arcadeness' though

Year later....

Has anyone tried this game out recently? It's in open beta and I've been playing it for couple days now and gameplay actually is quite fun. Yet to try "generals" part of game, because to earn some warfunds, one has to play quite a lot of "heroes". Action part feels pretty solid though. It lacks some diversity in weaponry though, you start with semi automatic rifle, get bolt action unlocked rather soon and then you can play till next christmass to get submachine gun.

Everything can be bought with gold, after unlocking it. Prices seem bit high, so I'm not going to pay single euro for now.

So it turned out as another "pay to win" game? So, no thanks...

Played a bit a while ago ; following the updates through mail.

Just downloaded it again to see what happenned.

I have to say - at first on the start of beta it looked nice and played nice, but rather sluggish. Maybe coming from FH "arcady-ness".

Now that Soviets are added, it's solidly in the realm of an alternate history game.  Soviets are a 3rd faction that can fight against both Germany and USA.

A long time ago, I thought this was going to be the shit. Now it's just shit. So much potential for a good, historically accurate, graphically pleasing WW2 game wasted. F that game.
