I didn't play RO and I think I'm seriously ripped-off of the experience that it can deliver. I've watched the clips on youtube about gameplay, seems close to the 1945 BF just with more functionalities.
If RO HoS comes in a phyisic copy I'm gonna buy it since I think it's a really good game and enables some things like tank crews for manning tanks and bipod mounts etc.etc.
And I just found out about a month ago that RO was a mod.

This has nothing to do with either living in the present or living in the past. This has all to do with annoying prgrams wich you have to tell over 4 times to shut up when i start up my pc and fucking of with advertisements.

Really? I wonder what programs you are talking about, surely not steam because when i start up my computer absolutely nothing happens until I double click the icon and it starts up. And i simply checked to box and no more advertisement. Ooh so simple but i guess its to much for you. Enjoy not playing the game then.

Oe great a direct insult.
I'm taking my own freedom

singing loud and strong

I'm takin' my freedom
puttin' it in my stroll
I'll be hop-steppin' y'all
lettin' the joy unfold

RO2 will come in a disc, not just steam. The same thing happened with RO1.

Here's a thread on the TWI forums with links to videos of gameplay from Gamescom! This was just posted a couple of days ago.

http://forums.tripwireinteractive.com/showthread.php?t=45102

I'm really really liking how all this is shaping up. I love how you get points based on not only kills and captures, but actually following the officer's orders. AND the officer class is only given to the most experienced players, but is based on recent accomplishments, not overall player progression.

This on top of destructible environments, great new enhancements to movement and the cover system, even more realistic weapon handling (ironsights on snipers! adjustable sights on all weapons that apply!), and clues that tanks are going to be in the game all makes me one happy guy.

Check out my Red Orchestra, FH2, and shooting videos!

All videos so far has been a busy PR guy playing the game against bots on the easiest settings, so I wouldn't judge the gameplay just yet.
Really looking forward to the game though, based on the info given and my experience with RO1.

I´m really looking forward to the new RO. The shown stuff looks quite good so far. Sure, some stuff is still very WIP, but the guy presenting it on Gamescom said it´s a late Alpha, so the game can still be polished.

This.
I love infantry combat, but tankw arfare has always been fun in RO. I really hope the Devs take a look at the Darkest Hour mod and implement some cool things the modders created into the next RO. Stuff like HEAT projectiles that penetrate walls, working armour penetration and of course I really hope that they´ll implement a realistic tank damage systems, where you can destroy stuff like treads, guns, optics, kill single crew members etc.

FUCK YES!
http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2010/09/02/red-orchestra-heroes-of-stalingrad-vehicles/

Awesome, just awesome. This game will rock so much if they manage to get a balanced and bug-free release. The infantry part shown so far was cool, but the tank system they unveiled will be awesome.

And the latest trailer:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mzp0N5bLUNc

The severed limbs will probably be a big problem for the damn German nanny state, but if they´ll release a cut version only here I´ll get the British un-cut one. I´m old enough to decide if I want to see gore or not...
Anyway, this game is my no.1 on my can´t-wait-to-play list. Looks like my dream WW2-shooter might be released, soon ^^

That´s something I didn´t think about so far. I really wonder how the AI will react to a burning tank. Will they bail out or will they just stay on their positions, dumb as bots can be? And how are the effects if your tank is being hit, but not penetrated? Will spalling be included and will your view and hearing be obscured/deafened from the sound of the impact? So many questions, and yet such a long time untill the release :(

It has been a long time that I felt a game being worth its money again. If the full game is gonna be as good as it sounds, I'd buy two copies.
