Played the map a few times with new patch, and I honestly think its pretty balanced now. A decent British team using SMOKE a lot can move up effectively. The only problem is the last flag, I have never seen it capped, ever. Design a way for British to cap the last flag easier, and the map will be just about as balanced as it can get.

I have to vote against the new tanking system. It felt more tactical to me when it was 1 hit kill, and longer reload. you really had to be careful. Now you can banzi in and do all sorts of crazy things. Also it gets a bit ridiculous, I got hit marker against a sherman 3 times with P4 main gun, and no kill.

Ill just list some stuff I like , some of it i mentioned before

Pro-

New push system- tightens the action on many maps, which I am always all for. Hate back capping, and just running from flag to flag over and over again.

New Bullet effects- the bullet puffs and new impact holes look great when hitting buildings and stuff

New sounds- I dont mind the new thompson, but dont know why it changed, old was a bit better. New springfield is great. And new MG sounds for tanks are way better.

New Maps All very nice, my favorite is new sidi. Gonna let it play out to see how the balance is.

Map updates Love old maps getting so love. Noticed aberdeen isnt on the map list any more, guess its abandoned. Are you going to update the rewards to reflect new maps?

I got something new I like that I havent seen mentioned, new bullet impact dust up and bullet holes. I dont know if its realistic or not, but its cool to fire at a building from a good distance away and see your bullets actually hit it with the puff up.

Really nice Map, but it has some not nice corners. IMO it’s too hard for the Germans to take one of the first flags. Ive seen this much too many times, that you simply get mortared away and even when you made it alive into cover, a random brit spawns right behind you and kills you. This problem is caused by: Nearly no cover from mortar and rifle fire and the wrong placed spawn points (all around the flag). At the other flags this works fine, cause the mortars the only can concentrate at one flag and not at three, and you got enough cover from rifles. Same works with the brits at the Church. When the mortar already is hitting your base and you have to cap the Church flag (with this capzone without any cover and the spawns placed all around it), its way to hard.
So my suggestion is:
1.Place the spawns for british team at Outskirts and Officers Building flags north of them
2.Place the Spawns for german team at Church flag west of it. (ive made a little minimap with my incredible paint skillz)

3. optional: Take away of one mortar per team (the germans has then 2 mortars and the brits 1)

Ps. Add an ammo box by the german mortars

Any Opinions?

This is still my favorite map in the game, and these are great suggestions. I notice what you are talking about when trying to cap church, the spawn points are so random around it, and with not that many places to hide while capping, it is pretty dang hard. And I think all the mortars are a bit much, remove one of each I agree.

Played for a good amount today, but there is now so much content in FH2 its impossible to try all the new toys, and try all the new (improved) maps in one day.

Like everyone said, the graphics overall are just sharper and better. Awesome.

1. Sounds are generally improved. My favorite is the new Springfield sound, absolutely perfect. MG sounds on tanks also are much better.

2. New maps are all nice. Only played Vith for a little bit. Karen I'm not sure how it works. Played 3 rounds, as british we capped about half the flags, then the other team bled out and we won. I thought we had to cap all of them? I gotta say I think Sidi Bo Zid is my early favorite. The counter attack mechanic works really well, and the terrain is great for tanking. Its a different feeling map from most of the others, but I think it works really well.

3. Updates to old maps- Obviously didnt get to try them all, but Falaise looked like it will be successful. No more stupid sneaking stuff. Very heavy fighting, it was nice. Crete got even harder for Germans. Ticket ratio need to be higher for germans.


If kill ratios are gonna be that bad between teams, atleast up the ticket ratio.

j/k, many of the maps could have used "irreversible push" tbh.

First off, thank you to the Devs for providing us this info and being diligent about posting the dev blogs. I know many members like myself have really been enjoying them. Second, I love partybunker, its one of my most favorite things to do in FH2. I will never give that up!!
