I swore myself that I wouldn't join the first campaign after retiring from the bf2 branch over at F|H, but the maplist really makes me regret that already :) Sounds awesome, and hey maybe I'll still drop by for one battle or another ;)

Biazza Ridge - FH2T Map of the Week

This week's battle at FH2Tournament is featuring one of Forgotten Honor's most renowned and most played maps. On Biazza Ridge, allied paratroopers are defending against an axis attack. Axis' aim is to overrun the allies with their heavy tiger tanks and to retake this vital position. It is up to you whether they will succeed! Check out the impressions below and see for yourself why you should join us in the awesome battle on Biazza ridge this saturday!

July 10th, 1943. Allied paratroopers, after defeating the Italian garrison in the area, have secured the vital Biazza Ridge. Overlooking the road to Gela where the US 1st Infantry Division has landed, this ridge is where the paratroopers are to make their stand. Now the Tiger tanks of the Hermann Goring Panzer Division are pushing down the road to the landing beaches, and it falls to the paratroopers to stop them...

See you this saturday,
your FH2T Administration!

I'm afraid i joined a team that only speaks German & very little English.

Is it too late to switch?

My experiences with these tournaments have not been good.

 37 players for 6 slots...lol
These squads develop there core players & its hard to get in a game.

 :(

I remember you signed up for axis, is that correct? IF so, what unit have you signed up for? German should be a rare language but for the language company. If you accidently landed there, send me a PM and I'll sort that out for you. Core players is something you will always have as ppl know each other, like each other and stick with each other. Still all players should be treated fair and get their playtime. If you ahve concerns about that, feel free to contact me.

Answering some questions:
1. As Avro stated, the 72nd Maori isn't meant to be entirely accurate. In this concern, we're doing things differently at WaW and F|H. While WaW creates/pics divisions under other aspects, we create them based on existing divisions. Both ways have their advantages and disadvantages and should offer something for everyone ;)

2. We are planning to switch servers during the campaign. For now we are most likely going to play on the european server though, due to the performance required by 64+. The server is situated in Germany and should offer acceptable pings americans. At least I can play on american servers, and I am not that far from the server ^^

Many thanks for answering, when will the side-side choosing end?

Signups will be open till the end I guess...

Yes, signups will be open for new players until the end of the campaign. Make sure you join soon though, so you don't miss any of the fun :)

We hope you enjoyed our Italian Weekend and the intensive 64+ battles on our servers. We want to thank you guys for your participation. The experiences we gathered from this event brought us a lot closer towards launching our first joint campaign in general and 64+ campaign battles specifically.

Since you've been populating the servers so much, we are going to run them a little longer and on top of that we managed to fix the crash issues on Biazza Ridge and put it back in the rotation, giving you another map to explore!

As far as F|H's maps are concerned he does certainly not have the permission to use them and this is certainly not the way to get our permission. This is a big disappointment but I trust that the players represented in this forum respect our rights and stay away from this "mappack".

Avrojet got it right here, as far as I know it was just not working. The devs should be on it though :)

Hey, whoa, "TASS" ... You're kinda stealing my name here ;)

Not a Tassinari by any chance are ya?

Looking forward to the release party though!

No, you stole mine. I registered much earlier than you  :P  ;D

And no guess not, given the fact I wonder what a Tassinari is xD

Try it anywhere outside Program Files. So bascially C:/Games should work. If it works there it was windows protecting its program files against dumb programs. If it still doesn't work, we know that its not that :P

Ahh yeah and if you have bf2 installed in C:\Program files then it could collide with UAC if you have it on I guess.

Hmm, yeah could be it if hes it installed there. I had older programs colliding with UAC in the past aswell when I switched to win7. Actually it sounds fitting -> no write permission or something.

I can't tell, having bf2 on different HD for ages ;)

Can you give us some more details? About your exact steps etc., your hardware and your system?

Same here, this is the first RPG since Fallout NV that compelles me to keep on playing :)
Although I haven't quite figured out how to fight effectively. Atm I'm kind of hack and slaying my way around the world. Mental Note: Read the Manual prior to playing this evening...

The witcher 2 is the best game I've played in a while. I just love the whole setup and everything. I mean like WTF an RPG with athmospere for once?! :P

As for the fighting, well it can get a bit hack and slash but that seems to be a little bit like the sign your doing it wrong. You need to act smart, avoid getting hit and getting surrounded. The trick is to use YRDEN, IGNI and friends smartly and block and evade(roll with space) the right moment. If you've done the end fight in act 1 you know what I mean, that is the way to go.
