Well I bet you would enjoy getting swarmed by Mosquitos and other insects.

Spiderbro best spider.

I had fear for Spiders, not anymore, I understand they can be very usefull. In fact, I have one of those long-legs here in my room, she already caught a mosquito. Good job, good job indeed.

I simply do not understand those who just have fear for spiders and would kill them right away, as if they would attempt to murder you once you let your guard down. Well guess what, even the biggest spider out there is afraid of humans.

for me its not so much the spider, as i hate those f*&)ing webs they stream over everything, even if you have just walked there a few minutes ago... or all over my vehicles that im working on....

I have never understood fear of spiders.  You are 8000x larger than they are, the chances of ever being harmed by one are ridiculously small.  The fear is certainly engrained by society and not biology. I like spiders, both because I am a contrarian but also because they are our bros like you said.  Spiders just want to chill and eat the bugs that are a nuisance.

Also: look at this momma spider and baby spider.

Today in the paper, guy in Dublin gets bitten by a spider. He would not have lived without medical help.
Sure, harmless. Spiders do kill people every year. I think you can put them in the same fatality range as snakes, sharks, crocodiles. a dozen or so per year. Mostly due to allergic reaction i would say.

you people fail the understand that size means nothing. I can give you a barely visible amount of this awesome liquid and you die in hours.  Example? take this little substance.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Botulinum_toxin

Found some info in a site, could be legit. Only for us though, so when including all the jungle countries you can probably put the total amount to 500 per year.

Information on the spider that bit him:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steatoda_nobilis

Anyway, spiders kill, so get them out of your house. when i see one in my house it dies. Just like any other animal.

If instead of a spider it was a 30cm long non venomous snake in your house, would you also let it crawl around? it kills small rodents you know, super good. and completely harmless to you. So why remove it, right?

Also, spider bites hurt like hell, they give me this 2cm across hard swollen skin that lasts for more then a week, super annoying.

Do you refuse to ever go into the ocean because of sharks?  Are you scared of dogs, which kill more people than spiders per year?  Or horribly murderous primates?  I am sure mosquitoes kill hundreds of thousands of people per yer, and if spiders were not around they would kill millions.

Size is a factor - spiders bite out of self defence.  They are not maniacal creatures that lurk around plotting to bite humans, they bite people because they are tiny creatures who occasional try and defend themselves against giant things trying to kill them.

It's irrational to be frightened of things that will almost certainly never have any impact on your life.

Also, people in other places eat spiders and bugs and the like, clearly they do not have any societal taboo on spiders.  For some reason the western world turns to pussies when confronted with them.

I never swam in an ocean. Yes, i don't like those big loud dogs that jump aggressively against the fence when you walk past. well trained dogs are fine. Other people i mistrust the most, some are really creepy. when a other human has a big knife in his hand i always feel fear. Strange huh but that is me. I dont have that when they have a firearm in the shooting club, but outside of there i sepose i would feel the same fear then if it is a stranger.

Mosquitoes are the most lethal animal in the world, try tens of millions as reference, well, not themselves but the things they spread are. Yes i don't like them, yes i have repellent for them in my house and yes i have nets at the windows. I also take special medication if i go to an area where they spread dangerous diseases. You are a retard if you don't.

No, big animals you can avoid, when i take my jacket, sit in sofa, sit in grass i can accidentally come to close to a spider causing it to attack me. You have no control most of the times about that. You don't see the spider, but it sees you and attacks you because it feels threatened. in other words, it attacks you when you dont expect it. based on a misunderstanding.

true, some maniac killing 300 people by shooting down a passenger jet don't trigger an emotion, i don't fly, most people i know don't fly so for all i care they can shoot one down every day, what is the chance it will fall ontop of me right? /sarcasm
But to be honest, i agree, no point being scared of things that statisticaly are super unlikely to happen. but you cant always control deep emotion. sometimes a feeling is just there and is very hard to ignore even though you mind tells you it is fine. example, when you know you are at a safe distance of burning oil, and you know they will add water to it as a demonstration causing a really big flame. Well, when they do 99% of people will take a step back even though they know they are safe. Its just something hardwired into the brain.

There is a difference between fear and over reaction. I dislike spiders, i will kill them, but i wont freak out when i see one. i take a tissue and crush it between my fingers.
I like eating snails. I don't like touching slimy snails. See the difference?

I can handle Norwegian spiders just fine. They're small and hairless. No stress. Those big "exotic" things however. Yuck.

Swallows mostly takes care of the mosquito. We have over 50 swallows chilling in our barn in the summer. Shits down everything, but Beautiful to look at.

Well, I don't like animals who trudge into forbidden territory and then claimed that they are being threatened by us. I know it is innocent, and we the stronger, the more sentient beings should protect them, but sometimes I'm too lazy to listen to my conscience and just squish the poor bug most of the times. At least I don't toy around by cutting their legs or drown them...I give them honourable and quite hell-of-a-death.

It is like porn actress going to religious site wearing the most obnoxious clothing and then claimed that they were prosecuted against. The spiders were born like that, but the decision to dress for attention is clearly not something that you are born with, even if you are affixed to be sexy all of the time.

I have a phobia for those fuckers, they don't really scare me (as in I wouldn't run away screaming) but the 8 legs thing really grosses me out for some reason. I can not explain why, I just find them disgusting.

When I see one in my house it either dies a squashy death or when I'm having a good day I'll catch it under a glass and throw it outside.

Last time I tried to kill one it was some kind of ninja spider, he was climbing the wall under my desk when I noticed him. I turned my chair around and reached for a shoe when the guy saw me and realised what was going to happen, and just when I tried to squash him he dropped himself down cleverly evading the impact. He tried to run away zig-zagging and even made me miss a second attempt. Third one he couldn't avoid.

Only things i really enjoy killing are Cockroaches and mosquitoes. Mosquitoes only because of the annoyance factor. If they would simply drink my blood and fuck off i wouldn't mind, but these assholes just have to come to your ear and wake you up. Cockroaches just because i feel are nasty fuckers.

I am trying to wrap my head around this. It is on Norwegian TV, but it is in Dutch synchronised. Do you have any clue what he is talking about? I can understand it.

No, I havent a clue.

It's maybe hard to see why I and many other find it hilarious. For me at least it's the apparent strange mixes of languages that Dutch sounds to Norwegians. It's like Danish, Norwegian, German, English with a microscopic touch of Finnish. Combine this with a two meter long rockabilly who plays in bands like "The Cumshots", "Hurra Torpedo" and "Mongo Ninja" that wears strange foods on his foots and head while dancing. Its absurdy has some lines to Monty Pythons Fish slapping dance.

I saw the first one before but I'm still utterly confused.
