Then perhaps I had the wrong impression, Jimi. It perhaps is logical that all the questions and complaints about the waiting are solely because people want to play it.

But heads up, lads, we all want to play it. It's a small team but they are making great progress, that's all I really can say. And that a new update is coming soon as well.

A barbecue for the Australians on Giarabub.

Great to see how it's still moving forwards. Hope a new release can give the playernumbers a little boost as well, and maybe ye olde 762 could freshen up their map list but that's a whole other discussion.

This mod may hold the current record for longest in development without a release of any kind.
Every time you post something about our release date I personally make a note within our development forum to delay the game for a month.

Patience is a virtue.

Plus we still got Duke Nukem's record to beat.

That was 3 months ago, so im flattered.

I do find your (7 yr) hobby interesting, so have fun with it.

I don't check these forums so often anymore, someone else bumped this thread to the frontpage.

The game has only been in development since October 2011, so that's not even 4 years now. But I could waste all this time trying to explain the realities of life to you but I know it will fall on deaf ears as it did the dozens of times before I tried.

Sometimes it is really easy to overlook the simplest solution. Hope you get it sorted.

My father still goes on about "the damn foreigners who ruin our economy and steal our stuff" because that's what they told him long ago.

He is right though.
Hey, you are one of those leeches that he dislikes so much. How does it feel to be part of a nation systematically trying to bankrupt the good nations of Europe?

But he just sprouts some of those things when he gets frustrated. My mother just sighs and shakes her head and then he stops again. In the end I always get his point in a more mild manner, it is hopeless to keep pouring money into a endless hole while he's scraping every penny together to pay the taxes to be able to sustain that stream of Greek gold. Shitty situations breed extremists.

Previously confirmed were the Tarly's but now we also seem to be getting a new Greatjon and perhaps Lord Manderly. Also..

Legendary Fighter:  A man in his thirties or forties who is a great swordsman and a paragon of knighthood. He carries a famous sword.  The show is seeking a very impressive swordsman for the role- the  best in Europe, for a week of filming fight scenes for a season 6 role. His ethnicity/race isn’t specified, unlike many other roles.
Ser Arthur Dayne, anyone? Tower of Joy flashback incoming.

Take it from their perspective, Zoo, they grew up with the notion that all the things they say is fact. Their parents and grandparents fed them that bullshit and they didn't have nothing to make them doubt it. Meanwhile in this modern age all their kids are smarter and more educated, the entire world is moving forward and they are stuck in the past.

Of course they will still pretend their wisdom is sacred, of course they believe it; they don't know better. My father still goes on about "the damn foreigners who ruin our economy and steal our stuff" because that's what they told him long ago. It's hard to break that pattern.

Personally I'm also a fan of the theory that Stannis will be Lord Commander nr. 1000. After he has lost all, he goes there. No lands, no glory, no wife, no kids.

That doesn't really fit with his (the show's) character though, as he is completely convinced he is the one and true heir to the throne and he has shown he will do anything to be king of Westeros. Even burning his own daughter if that's what it takes.

I don't think such a man would accept defeat and go live out his days at the wall. I think he'd rather commit suicide upon realizing he failed 'his destiny'.

This is a book theory, I should've made that clear. In the show I think Stanley Barton will go with Brienne to fetch Sansa, doubt they killed him.

Show and book Stannis are both self-righteous, stubborn, and incapable of any kind of compromises, which proves to be their undoing. Stannis has always been all about using any means necessary to get what is rightfully his, no matter the cost or how others would feel about it. So burninating Shireen is just the logical next step (he already burned his in-law and tried to burn his bastard nephew). Sure, he is not that desperate yet in the books, but who knows what will yet happen... except the people who have a direct line to Gurm?

As long as TWOW is not out, screaming about "character assassination" is pointless. We do not know the particulars of how and why Shireen will be burned in the books, only that she most certainly will because the fat man told so to D&D&D. Now, it may be that Stannis will win the Battle of Ice but will still lose the Battle of Winterfell and in his desperation orders Melly to burn Shireen. For all we know, a raven bearing these very words might have caused the commotion that leads to "For the Watch" in  the books (if the Queen's Men, including ser Patrek, intend to burn Shireen, the wildlings and Wun Wun might rustle their jimmies a bit). Or it may be that Melly will burn Shireen on her own initiative in order to resurrect Stannis whom she thinks to have died as stated in the Pink Letter (absent from the show), whether true or not. But as long as we do not know, let's just wait.

However, pulling a "JR shot at the mirror instead of himself" would be a cheap trick as far as Stannis's fate is concerned.

I think people take the things characters say about Stannis for granted while he has shown himself to be far more compromising and less rigid than thought. He even has a sense of humour. Plus he would never burn his own daughter, not in the books, he sends out Ser Justin Massey with the specific order to make Shireen queen if he falls in the upcoming battle. What Melisandre and Selyse are doing at the Wall with Shireen, that's a whole different story.

This is a very good read about what might happen to Stannis in the next book. Personally I'm also a fan of the theory that Stannis will be Lord Commander nr. 1000. After he has lost all, he goes there. No lands, no glory, no wife, no kids.

To be honest, I hope he died. Show kind of raped the Stannis I knew and loved from the books. The show follows this logic of "bad guys win" which is kind of becoming very predictable and boring.

Only after we get mountable camels.

Only camels you'll get to mount are the dead ones at Giarabub.
I'm not sure the Camel Corps would be pleased by my hedonistic camel acts at Giaraboob.

What's puzzling to me plot wise is that they removed fAegon. In S1 we have Varys trying his utmost best to kill Dany only to reveal he's working to put her on the throne. The only reason his plan is working is because Jorah the Andal decided to fall in love with the silver haired bitch.

Show angle of Stannis is weird but I'll take it, his last line was classy.
