I still believe Overlord is a testing map or a codename. I doubt it will be revealed under the name 'Overlord' - Overlord covers the entire battle of Normandy!

...Maybe that's what they WANT you to think... maybe it really IS Omaha...Okay, okay, hear me out for a sec... If there's anything I've learnt about or devs is that they've got a hard outer shell. a lance in one hand called Lightening to keep us at bay and a whip amd a fist for any struggler that manages to get in close called ..*AHEM* - I fear my life to say the name, but in reality, they are good ol' softies and rather the conservatives, which in this case is a good thing, cuz... and don't quote me, like they threw in Normandy just when we were near our breaking point (And which I must add, was possibly if not probably not their original plan but was neccesary to keep the boat afloat), they are unlikely to release Normandy without a dday landing map...

With their more hardcore approach, tue, it might not be Omaha, might be Juno to give the Canadians an extra map, or it might be British... But with the issues that come with a Juno i.e some requiring it to be French Canadians, they might just make it an Omaha.. After all, we got bangalores, no?

But let not your anticipation for a map or a release date (I know you're all wistfully hoping) make you over-optimisitic... It might be a lovely update, like a defgun or even ingame vids, and we'd miss it because we are expecting the real MCoy

Speaking of vids, I saw a video by FelixSync recently: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jkJX9pR4fvs
Dudes. that was the best vid of FH2 I've seen, it doesn't compare in its scenes with the FH trailers, but the angles were Si-ick... I really think the devs should do something with that stye... Or better yer, that GUY!

Oh, and I'm missing those lovely concept arts and training manuals, any chance of something like that for Normandy... Perhaps advanced tactical training, hedgerow assaault tactics, beach landing tactics or something....
This' just probabilty ofcouse...I the end, Meadow might be right... Like sahara was a test map, maybe so is overlord - A mixture of town, bocage and beach

I'm confident that there will be one more D-day beachlanding map.
1. the "can't" release normandy with only point du hoc, they "need" omaha
2. "overlord" (if not a test map) is hinting towards at least a map during 6th of june
3. The devs have several times said that first someone starts making a map, and then devs make the vehicles needed for that map.
Unless both LCA and LCVPs were used in Point du hoc, then it seems obvious that another beach-map is in the creation.

Operation Overlord was the code word for the battle of Normandy as a whole, not the D-Day landings. This was originally the case but they were rechristened Operation Neptune shortly before June 44. So your second point doesn't necessarily follow. 3 is valid, though - LCVPs were not actually used at Point du Hoc. As for 1... I think it  was Lightning who said 2.2 may well be released without Omaha or Pegasus.

Ah you have a point, my bad.

Well he said that some months ago, "omaha and pegasus aren't beyond planning stages". But someone said about a week ago that lobo said that omaha is in the works.
Anyway, one more beach map.

It was actually me who said 'Lobo confirmed Omaha was in the works' - but I also said that all Lobo had confirmed was that it was planned (in epic detail) and was looking fantastic. No word on any material progress in creating the actual map.
