so natty are you saying that if this code works out there might be a chance that the sherman crab will become a project that could someday be released. nice to also see that you have taken intrest in my idear i thank you and will talk again in some weeks.

the bren was a mistake on the british they didnt expect the high accuracy of the gun so it was good for very close combat
And thats an mistake?thats good  ;D

Surely the british dint had the same Squad support machine guns as the MG34/MG42 and the Browning .30CAL but they sure had an effective, accurate weapon for close range combat

Some brengunners switched to Semi-automatic mode, and just used the weapon as a sort of accurate bolt action rifle


the british wanted a gun that has a spray efect on it instead the came up with a deadly accurat weapon witch was built by mistake but achived a better weapon and did nut waste ammo because of the size of its mag cap. basicly mistake was a pritty good idear in the end.

or that, sorry dont realy get any of the codeing stuff my computing teatcher was balls at school and told me nothing. i would like to learn how to do modleing but there is no way for me to learn so i just mess around with map editor and just make random non playable maps with random idears then take good points out of thna dn make a better map.

this reply is ontopic but off topic.

before D-day i think it was 1942 the canadians tryed an allied landing only of canadians, they tryed to asault a small fiching villiage if i am corect and i think that that would be a nice this for changeing the map style. remember that this was basicly just a rape fest for the germans as basicly no canadians made it off the beach and thos who did where captured. but this would mean a mas research ans so forth as i have only understood this a few times on tv programs about ww2, plus can the germans have a stuka on omaha although this isnt the correct beach 2 days after d-day or D-day + 2 3 german bombers mad it to the coast and sunt a comand ship just of one of the beaches.

well if u make the flial section %90 stronger to mines then the wrest of the tank is based on the normal armour% of the tank then should thin not bypass this problem by just adding the armour % more than what i mine would destroy or make the flais undestructable but when the tank is shot to shit and die's the flail will explode with some codeing ?

yeah that would be cool i was rerading that in the mod section. would be nice to see. and with more maps now with the tactics saying mine fieldi think i will try repuch the FLIAL tank. if a mod would like to answe at there own time. just wondering if there is much of a problem with it arart from the chain's as thew wouldnt be able to move. but yeah would be nice to hear from a mod ( if u have already sorry).  ;) ;)

yeah there is a lok of strange unusfull stuff. but i would say a sherman flail tank would work well if u thnk of it but does seem a we bit complicated for the desigh team, but would be nice. there is a lot of random stuff i can think off that would look cool. a german armored train. but that wont happen. but yeah.

this is my topic but i havent had time to look over some things and well i was wondering because i have another idear, all my idears are besed around support and engineer type tank work, now is there anti tank ditches in this game. you know like a masive hole that the tank drives in to but cang get out. as there is another one of the funnies that would work for this. its the Churchill AVRE with a bobbin.



again its a engineers tank for the purpose of getting over anti tank ditches.

wrong tank oops. but its the same idear apart from its a big wooded barrle on front that falls into ditches. and allows for tanks to cross over them.

oh and for the disscushion on DD-tanks on beaches. this is a pic of sherman DD's just after H hour on Utah beach

hmm well i had a quick re-read of the foums and soon that the sherman DD was brough up before but had a lame explination for it. i think to atleast see the sherman DD with skirt down would atleast make it look a we bit more realistic as there is many pics of the sherman DD in normandy after the beach landings. i think the sherman DD's there a single armour company. not to shure on that would have to do some mre research

only the sherman DD was realy a tank designed for the beaches but the sherman flail was used all over the war. like in north africa where the mine fields where very common and had to make paths through them. tank was very usfull.

and yes there are the "funnies" there is plenty more just picked up on 2 of the tanks i though would be nice to see on the game.

ok this forum as far as i see if form members to give there suggestions on thinks that they would like to see in FH2 and i think there is a small think that might be of intrest.

for the landings at normandy british and american comanders both had obsticals to over come. for instance the machine i would like to bring up in the sherman tank. very common but there was many modifications done to the sherman for D-day. before the landings where to happen teams where send out to normandy to test the soil so see if it could support the weight of a tank. is some places the ground was not sutable so they modified the sherman and chirshill tanks to over come this with masive druns or wooden planks to support them. they 2 tanks that i would lie to see if this is possible is the,

Sherman Flial Tank



this sherman has the flail modification to it. there tanks used for the clearing of a path through a mine field would for FH2 be usfull if the map played had a mine field the player would be abble to dribe through the mine field with out blowing up there tank and allowing for a path to be made through the mine field for all troops and tanks behind it. just a though for maps that have mine fields as this would bake a great adition to the game in my thought's.

second is another tank from D-day it is the sherman DD or sherman Duplex-Drive. only used on normandy this tank it was the allied answe to getting tanks on to the beaches with out sending in the big landing craft. whould be great for maps on D-day invashions to atleast give the allies some armor to break through the german beach possitions.

hey everyone i have a question.
i have just signed up to FH although i have played FH1 as its name. very good game but i have always wonders what program it is that you guys use to make the maps on. i tryed battlecraft 1942 for BF1294 but that crashed alot of the time on my other computers and i have decided that i would aks the guys that know the stuff what program it is that u use and where u get the object packs from. i have tryed makeing maps before and 1 will admit they where very bad but one or 2 had some room to improve on as they had the start o a good begining.

any help would be good with links to sites for te packs and so forth.
