Well... FH2 already has heavy bombers, which work well, and would work better with some fine-tuning of the bombsights and balancing of the bomber MG's & hitpoints.

Just saying it isn't as impossible or difficult to make as it seems. There's no point making the map super-detailed cause the whole point is to fly around.

Requires someone to actually make it, which is harder to find. But time-wise it shouldn't take longer than creating any other map + a few new vehicles + a few new buildings (destroyable objects). So compared to creating a new, land based, FH2 map about the same if not less.

I'd absolutely love heavy bombers, but even if someone makes a gargantuan Kashan Desert-style map, I don't think there'd be room for them  :-\ . So I guess if you want them in, you'd have to think outside of the box.

You could have them as a squad leader/commander deployed asset, though. The First Strike team made a system that had a fighter jet overfly the map and drop bombs on targets you designated. It's on YouTube somewhere, and if you search "First Strike", you'll probably come across it.

only a very specialised air-only map would fit them, but the chances are very low

Hell, we can have the same fun with B-25, B-26 and A-20 doing low level bombing runs

Or dive-bombing JU-88's

Heavy bombers are very difficult to include. Even on BF1942. And balancing them is also a huge part.

Medium bombers is probaly the farrest FH2 will go.

And admit, a cool epic Wellington, JU88, Mitchell or DO17 is much more awesome then the stirling  ;)

Probably 95% of all bombers in WW2 were slow, big, and fighter fodder, so that doesn't exactly work....
