The soundtrack of Battlefield Vietnam? What?! You mean the one from the intro? That one is legendary and got a name!  :)
Creedence Clearwater Revival - Fortunate Son. One of my favourites.

I love bobby fuller four.

@fuchs
What? they were much music in BF:V! all songs were great.
the loading screens is just one example, then IIRC some songs were played while listening to the radio in a car ingame.

Here's a playlist for you to enjoy (I am right now) beginning with one of the best songs (Boxtops - The letter)

edit: just noticed that more than half of the songs were not available from sweden:(

Don't forget the seventies.

Not the disco seventies, but the hard rock seventies.

Bands like Atomic Rooster(Head in the Sky), Thin Lizzy, Cream, Led Zeppelin, The Who (their seventies work was legendary. just listen to Baba O'Riley) were epic in the seventies.

I am a great fan of the series Life on Mars (the original British one). I have the soundtrack, and none of the songs bore me.
As my tutor, old Bubbleface, used to say:"Make love and be merry, for tomorrow you may catch some disgusting skin disease."

Im mostly into rock and some trance/techno. Some examples rock bands I usually keep on my mp3 player:

Can't beat a bit of Jimi Hendrix. I can listen to his music over and over and over and never get bored.

Actually, anything from around 'Nam makes a great listener.
You my good sir, speaks the truth.
I loved Jimi a couple of years ago, and recently my interest for him has come back!

and yes, practically anything from the 60's is good.

For example, the soundtrack to Battlefield Vietnam, you just can't beat that!

I don't know if it has been carried over to BF2, but EoD's main theme (made by one of the devs I think) is brilliant. It has no lyrics, but it's one of the best 'Nam-style tunes ever made. I've been looking for it everywhere but can't find it.

Not made by the devs. It's a song from Prozac Ltd. One of the devs heard that song and they asked the guys if they could use it, the band itself was only happy to have it promoted  :P

Well right now at this exact moment I'm listening to a Michael Tilson Thomas San Francisco Symphony recording of Mahler's 5th Symphony in C# minor. Simply fantastic.

You'll find that I almost exclusively listen to classical and jazz these days, but being a musician myself I guess that's not surprising. I do tend to feel that the finer arts are more and more becoming ignored and snuffed out of world culture these days in general.

I think that if people would just sit down and LISTEN to something like a Mahler Symphony they would find something unbelievably rewarding and life changing waiting for them. There seems to be this stigma to "classical music" as being for only an elite group of academics and musicians when the reality is this music was written for everyday joes just as it was for the upper crust of society. It was THE music of the day, not just an obscure genre.

Too bad our society has a such short attention span any more... I suppose it's just an unfortunate and unavoidable consequence of the introduction of technology and modern conveniences.

Does anyone have the names of all of FH2's win/lose songs?

Especially the German win song is nice. :)

If you can play .ogg files, just go to common_client.zip/sounds/menu/music (I think).  As to the actual names of the songs, I don't know.  The american and canadian win tunes are nice though...
