Call Orchestra 2: Stalingrad Assault  ;D
After all not surprised about fail. If they do RO1 with new graphics, all ok, but they pass the CoD and MoH line, and result. And bugs, lots of bugs...

Indeed. They wanted to attract both the CoD/BF players and the old RO1 players. So they made the game somewhere in between and no one wanted it.

Can´t find any servers, despite turning off all filters. Does some experience the same issues or is the beta as dead as the main game?

But now the rains weep o'er his hall, with no one there to hear.
Yes now the rains weep o'er his hall,
and not a soul to hear.

None atm, if the Mare Nostrum team gets back together and ever decides to do MN 2 on the new engine we might see some epic desert battles... But it's unlikely...

Many have problems with downloading.. steam servers are going nuts.
Finding no servers in-game seems to be a common problem. I "solved" it, though, by using the Steam server browser.

After playing two rounds of "RO classic" I´ve got to say that I´m quite happy with it. It´s a bit like RO1, but with the good features of RO2, like mantling, "prone sprinting", cover system etc. and makes the game more fluid than RO1. If there´s one thing I really dislike about RO1, it´s its "clumsyness". I know, a soldier loaded with full equipment isn´t as gracious as a ballerina, but RO1 was really, really clumsy. I´m glad that RO2 brings features that make the game feel more "fluid" and.
The things many people have disliked about the game seem to have been removed. I´m still a bit sceptical about the removal of the iron sight zoom. though and I´m really happy that this whole "unlock stuff"-crap is gone. Some developers seem to think that unlocking stuff keeps gamers playing their games, but fortunately TWI has jumped off that bandwagon. I don´t want too much extrinsic motivation in games. It gets boring pretty quickly.
Weapon behaviour is nice, too. I like the weapon sway and recoil so far (even though somoeone complained that the PPSh has "recoil like a .50cal".... o0) and the whole thing gives me some hope that RO2 will rise from the dead again, this time with a clear audience TWI wants to please.
And so he spoke, and so he spoke, that lord of Castamere,
