EA Accounts and BFBC2 Veteran status.

Hey guys, I recently bought BF:BC2 and have been enjoying it alot. I recently discovered that you can unlock the M1 garand by being a BF 'veteran'. So I went to the EA website, went on the Veteran section and then went about registering my past BF games to unlock said weapon.

But apparently my BF1942 cd key has already been claimed..

and so has my road to rome key...

..and my BF:SW key..

?????

Wha? How? When? Where? Why?
I am sitting here with the game booklets here in front of me, typing in the CD Keys!

Anyone have any suggestions? :(

The system's broken. If you're really desperate to get your veteran status, send an e-mail to EA's support.

I never really have bothered with it I've been fine with the standard weapons.

Get to level...10 I think or something like that and you unlock the thompson and the colt.

Yep, been through this aswell. Owned near enough all Battlefield titles, only 3 are registered...


You can forget the BF1942 series, since its always comes up as being 'taken'.

Just use your BF2 account and a BF:Heroes account like I did.

Road to rome and SW don't count towards your status anyway.

You sure?  I have a 4 on my vet status and one of my buddies has a 9.  I wanted to up mine just so I could look like the whore I am for EA.  Tried a couple times last month and it seems broken.  :(

Just checked, demos (and betas, expansions) don't count. The games that do count:

Battlefield 1942
Battefield Vietnam
Battlefield 2
Battlefield 2142
Battlefield Modern Combat
Battlefield Heroes
Battlefield 1943
Battlefield Bad Company 1
Battlefield Bad Company 2

So your buddy must have all of them. And your veterancy is the total number -1 so he can't have 9 unless you use a third party stat tracker. On EAs own site you can check your status.

My ingame name is Josh094 (occasionally with the [FH2B] tag  ;) )

I'm currently level 10, usually play with engineer kit but I have completely maxed that kit out so I will probably be playing with assault.

You'll find me lurking around european squad deathmatch and conquest servers with my M1 garand (yes I sorted the veteran thing) or my M1A1 Thompson :P

I just fixed my veteran status as well via the EA livechat support. She didn't ask for any confirmation that I own the games, she just added all of them so apparently I own all BF games. :P

Hahah, same, i did it via live support, very quick, very user friendly and very polite. I will definatly get the other games I own added:

BF Heros
BF2
and BF road to rome.

The rest I would actually quite like to buy.. BF vietnam for example.
