Something about the character movement/animation looks off, it feels unnatural and makes it look silly. I have only played a few round on infantry only action game mode but I'll try some of the bigger maps with vehicles today. The vehicle aspect was always the better part of RO so I expect more of those maps.

Tried it out today and I love it! They got rid of that nonsense bionic eyes zoom, and the current IS zoom is still enough to scout and see everything if you focus. The game is fairly slower paced with everyone advancing cautiously. Rarely you see people running around and hipfiring MGs all over the place. Plus the MGs are real suppressive weapons now, when one gets you in their sight you better keep your head low, as trying to return fire is a death sentence...

First game where I RARELY return fire on MGs. Heck even in DH and RO1 it was easier to return fire on the MGs because the supression was not affecting your sway like now.

The latest patch together with the classic mode has really turned RO2 into a game that is worthy to be the successor of RO1.
Classic mode combines the slow-paced, deadly firefights from RO1 with new elements from RO2, that make it less sluggish and more fluid.
Because guns are so deadly, the game becomes more tactical. Teamwork is really important and lone wolfs really have a hard time. Machine guns are really good, as well, being able to supress enemies effectively. The whole supression system works like a charm and if there are bullets landing next to you or explosives going off, you really keep your head down.
Things like magazine checks, weapon handling, prone-to-sprint-action with one key, the sprint system or no unlock BS all improve game play and make it feel like an updated RO1.
The atmosphere of the game is quite intense, thanks to native languages and the dynamic voice system. Some weapon sounds are a bit weak, IMHO, but otherwise sounds are good, especially when someone slowly dies next to you...really sobering...

There are some minor issues I have, but otherwise the Devs have done a good job reviving the game.
Now we can only hope that the playerbase won´t go down after the free weekend and that we´ll see more maps (played my first costum map today) and generally more content in the future.
And so he spoke, and so he spoke, that lord of Castamere,
But now the rains weep o'er his hall, with no one there to hear.
Yes now the rains weep o'er his hall,
and not a soul to hear.

After a few hours o playing I don't know what to think about this game...

What I like the most:
-infantry fighting
-the environment look really realistic

What I don't like:
-usually small maps which becomes quite boring after some time, because each round is the same
-flanking doesn't exist because of small maps
-I really miss maps where tanks can support infantry
-I couldn't feel any teamplay... Unless I played with friends using, I wouldn't feel at all...
-tanks maps are really small
-getting better ammo weapons with gaining experience is quite unfair for me...
- sounds of weapons - especially when I fire with MG34 I can only think about popcorn making in my microwave oven....

So, I'm not so eager to buy this game...

dont worrie about the maps, they will add bigger maps in future patches, just like ostfront.

man, i LOVE tank combat, finally i feel like im in a huge heavy machine ,  you can feel the engine struglering to accelerate, the turret moves slow, but precise enough to snipe at great distances.

I will buy it just for that, no other game makes me feel the same way when talking about vehicles

I've been thinking a-lot about this game, pondering, and I'm still not sure where would be the cheapest site to buy it from.

As much for the realism I'm definitely down for that. I'm just watched a video where they describe the fails they made and that they polished for GOTY edition.

Another question : Deluxe edition gives you what exactly? In plain speech.
