alright, i'm using windows 7 and i installed forgotten hope 2.23 and my bf2 is up to date. but when i click on the fh2 icon i get an error message saying:

Failed to move 'Battlefield 2/mods/bf2 to 'Battlefield 2/mods/bf2.tmp

Failed to move 'mods/bf2/shaders_client.zip' to 'mods/bf2/shaders_client.zip-vanilla'

and a bunch of other failed to

then i get a warning black screen saying that i need to update my shortcuts...

What do i do now???

Have you tried running as admin?

ok, i ran it as admin, works now, thks again

well it only worked once  now all i get is a black screen when i open as admin and the same failed to messages.

can someone help me with this?

Hi, i recently decided to get back on track and install Forgotten Hope again. I've downloaded the file called "Forgotten Hope Patch 2.26 to 2,3"(complete version) and when i try to install the patch i get an error message saying:

Last time i installed this patch i had no problems. But now im stuck! Could someone please help me out?

I have same problem as CPT.MILLER 1944

After running as admin I get an error, something about shaders.
Any idea what to do?

What are your system specs?

32-bit windows 7.
2GB RAM
Processor Intel(R) Core (TM)2 Duo CPU t5870 @ 2.00GHz


After running as admin I get black screen and message:

Shaders/StaticMesh.fx not found!!! _DO_ check your working directory, _AND_ sync your shaders folder before calling upon your local rendering programmer/GP. (really!)

problem number 5  which will point you to problem number 2
although, it doesnt fit your description but the solution should work.
try this and report back if you still have problems.

I executed all solutions up to number 4 and report no improvement.

I will try re-installing everything and report back with results.

I believe to have found the problem; Patch 1.5 on first instalation attempt have fouled me, into thinking that my game is allready patched, with a message stating exactly that. When in truth, instalation was unable to continue becoue I did not have path 1.41 installed.

Now after reinstalling BF2, installing patch 1.41 I was able to install patch 1.5

I will now attempt to instal FH2.3 and see if it was the only reason for this malfunction.

It turns out to be it, lack of patched up game.
