FH2 will not work

Hello, got bf2, installed patch 1.5, then downloaded 1/2 and 2/2 of forgotten hope.
when clicking the shortcut, it opens to a black screen and then goes back to the desktop like nothing happened.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also, start the game in windowed mode and tell us what error pops up.

 Sounds like that monitor settings issue to me.
 If you can load up Bf2, set your monitor to a lower resolution property (in game options) and then load up Fh2.

 Once you have succesfully loaded up Fh2, you can then reset your monitor preferences using the game options.


 Also make sure that you have Bf2 patch 1.41 installed if your version does not have it yet.

Try using Desura. It's a Steam-like place for mods and indie-games. Easy to use and install. I used it, when I re-installed FH2 after my old computer died.

I'm not sure but I installed Bf2 and FH2 on my laptop like 2 months ago and I think I could not patch the Battlefield 2 standard version directly to 1.5. I think you need another 1.41 BF patch or something. Just in case you didn't install the 1.5 patch succesfully. If I remember right it showed me it was installed correctly but actually did not work, because I needed another patch before installing 1.5

Edit: Okay, checked it, you indeed need to install Patch 1.41 before you install Patch 1.5. That was the mistake I made back then. And I also had a black screen and crashed back to desktop, so maybe there's the problem.
