Crashes attempting to connect to servers

Launching local coop servers/ any other game mode works fine
Single player works fine but whenever I attempt to connect to a server it does not even go onto the loading screen merely closes the game and returns to desktop. Any advice? really want to play multi player

Hi, how are you trying to launch the game? Are you using the Launcher, or do you start up the game itself?

When using the Launcher, try the Update/Repair function. If you are not using the Launcher, go download it asap: http://forgottenhope.warumdarum.de/download/FH2Launcher-Setup.exe

Apologies I should have added more details, I indeed use the launcher and have tried the repair (a few dozen times futilely) I am using maximum graphic settings and have tried altering all the graphic settings to no avail. I'm guessing I'm going to have to reinstall bf2? Which depresses me as my internet speed runs at 300kb/s download which means re downloading 1.41 1.5 and forgotten hope would take in excess of 12 hours constant downloading.    I really want to leave reinstalling as the very last option/hope.

Can you try windowed mode and post the error message you get?

Reinstall is the last option indeed. May I suggest you keep the install files of BF2 and FH2 on a disk somewhere so that you don't have to re-download them?

No error message occurs the game just... goes.

My best guess is that something is wrong with your version of the game, that's why I suggested Repair but that obviously doesn't do the trick.

Did you install BF2 correctly with all patches in the correct order and such? Can you play BF2 online, or does it the same as when you try FH2?

Discovered 1.41 and 1.5 patch files, somehow i was on version 1.5.8 somehow.... Reinstalled and now works multiplayer fine how 1.5.8 came into existence i will never know

since few days i can't connect to server
when i try it's a CTD with no warning
i can play solo and creat lan
i try to repare with the luncher but nothing change

Did you try to get online since a few days, or was it a few days ago that you could still play online?

Did your ISP maube change something, an update or anything? Check firewall settings, check Windows update.

Have you tried windowed mode? What about reinstalling (only if all else fails)?

- it's since last week end i can't connect , i try on different day and hours
