The Lighthorsemen
- About the Australian Lighthorse Regiment and their attack on Beersheba in the Middle-east Campaign of WW1.

It was actually quite good. About 2 hours long, typical WW1 Adventure with a nice feeling to it.

The attack on Beersheba was very good. Nothing like a good cavalry charge.

Requiem for a Dream
Truely outstanding, utterly depressive and greatly filmed. The movie shows how addiction to all sorts of drugs can destroy lives...

9/10
And so he spoke, and so he spoke, that lord of Castamere,
But now the rains weep o'er his hall, with no one there to hear.
Yes now the rains weep o'er his hall,
and not a soul to hear.

I like trainspotting better. Requiem for a dream is way more depressing for me.

Clash of the Titans (1981 Original) with Harry Hamlin a host of big name actors of the day (Ursula Andress) and the gorgeous Judi Bowker (whooo?) as Andromeda. Recorded it a few weeks ago. Was always on during the school holidays when I was a young 'n. The special effects were cutting edge for back then, but look so dated now lol Thoroughly enjoyed watching it again though! 7/10

Happened to see that the 2010 version on Clash of the Titans was on Satellite Tv last weekend, so asked a mate to record it for me, for comparison.
Damn, I really enjoyed this version too, although took a while to work out some of the story as it differed a bit from the '81 version. With Calibos being the son of a Goddess and a cursed suitor to Andromeda in one, and the father of Andromeda in the 2010 version. Perseus marries Andromeda in the '81 version, but ends up with a demigoddess called Io in the 2010 film. Io is played by Gemma Arterton who is effcking gorgeous!  :P
Nice touch as they also pay tribute to the old film with a cameo appearance of the clockwork owl.  Really enjoyable special effects, 9/10. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pcRdVQBgdfs

Zathura: A Space Adventure Happened to record this as well. Two brothers find an old crappy looking game, but actually ends up taking them on a mad adventure in outer space, harmless kid flick, but for some reason I enjoyed it!  ;D 7/10

Anybody ever seen The Pianist?

I stumbled on a soundtrack for it and the movie looks interesting.

Also, V for Vendetta any good? I know its a major point in anonymous history, but I just want to know if its worth looking for on netflix  :)

The Pianist

I saw you guys discussing about it and i decided to watch it...What a marvelous film! One of the few that truly touched my heart and i actually felt bad for a character in a film.

10/10 !

Inception.

What an utter dissapointment, me thinking it would be alla Matrix like, its just your usual woman/man story packed in some fancy storylines letting it look like a deep and "hard" to follow movie. O well, how could i have expected anything better with mr DiCaprio and that silly looking girl.

6/10.

(will be watching number 2 though)

I'm takin' my freedom
