When: Saturday and Sunday at 18.00 UTC, so free up some time!

How: You need the mappack_test_v05.rar !

OPTION G: Join our [762] Teamspeak (TS3 button on the right side of the [762] website),
right click the ➡ Server Support/Administration >SCREENS channel,
pick "open file browser" and download the pack.

After unpacking you receive a folder "fh2" which you insert into your .../bf2/mods folder
(there is already a "fh2" folder there, click "integrate/overwrite" if asked).

the PW is "zumWein".

I have set it to not confuse players who don't have the pack.
They would not be able to join anyway.

I can remove it for the next test tomorrow.

Same here Mr.D. Tried loading Brecourt Manor, El Agheila, Westwall. My game CTD's right about when each map finishes loading.

I remember i had the same CTD problem with i downloaded the WaW Pacific theatre stuff - but i fixed it by removing everything from folder and putting items back in folder.

Try running in windowed mode and note down the error message.

I know that sometimes some wrong map setting makes such CTD at 100% when you have one of the graphic options set at low quality (don't remember which one). So make sure that everything (except lighting and shadows) you have at least on medium settings. I know it's only temporary solution and should be fixed at source. If this won't help, it rather means that you installed them wrong when others can play them...

i had earlier versions of these maps in the folder, so i went ahead and deleted them before installing this map pack and it works great for me.  not sure if you guys deleted the older versions first?  i also used the waw link to d.l. the map pack.

We had a great 4-hour long testing session yesterday, at the peak with 20+ players, thank you guys!

MAP NAME: Catania 64p
LOCATION: Vaccarazzo Mainbase
TYPE OF BUG: remove red ring on minimap, it is no mainbase
(important for rules enforcement on server).
TYPE OF BUG: plane noise too loud (just check the volume, not sure).
TYPE OF BUG: Kettcar suggested to reduce the Paradrop plane's speed by 50%.


MAP NAME: Vosges Mountains 64p
TYPE OF BUG: random crash of map mid-game, maybe check assets code.

MAP NAME: Advance on Foy 64p
TYPE OF BUG: random crash  of map mid-game, maybe check assets code.
TYPE OF BUG: water in pond looks strange.

MAP NAME: Brecourt 64p
TYPE OF BUG: flagnames not working properly.
TYPE OF BUG: driving the German APC makes the server crash.
TYPE OF BUG: some clients crash without error message when trying to join Brecourt at 100%
(me, dobry hac, Mr.D, Prof. Anthrax).
SUGGESTION: Kwiot said to check if it can be fixed by setting the graphics to medium instead
of all "low". Is this map related? I tried deleting the Brecourt map folder and replacing it with
the one from mappack_test_v05.rar, but still did NOT work.

MAP NAME: Breakthrough at Cassino 64p
TYPE OF BUG: the landslide between Monte Fahito and M. Ornito: does the texture
 match the ground objects? Players found "invisible block on the way up, please check.

MAP NAME: El Agheila 64p
TYPE OF BUG: main base static Bofors sunk in the ground.
TYPE OF BUG: mine belt is not showing on minimap.

SUGGESTION: replace 1 or both of the Allied team's Italo-AA trucks with a Bofors truck? --> accuracy.
SUGGESTION: check that tank balance is okay (2pdr in AT-guns and tanks deal more damage since FH2.46)

MAP NAME: Etna Line 64p
TYPE OF BUG: camouflage netting over trenches at "Headquarters" flag are still walkable by foot (too stable).

MAP NAME: Sidi Muftah 64
Suggestion: Maybe remove / relocate Roadblock - too close to enemy main. There are already 8 flags.


This test showed us a lot. How about we keep the EnigmaFH2 server running until Sunday 31st?
To the mappers: We could do 2 more testing sessions on Saturday/Sunday and the mappers can
think of things they want checked/tested (give me a list of things). Let me know what you guys think.

This could be map related yes. There are some things that could crash on low but not on medium/high. One of the thing i recall from the top of my head is the water settings. If you have them at editor default (which you often have if you dont have any rivers/lakes on the map) it can cause errors. Fix; copy the water code from a fh2. Except waterlevel ofcourse.

The map crashes at 100 percent when you don't generate the lowdetail maps according to my knowledge. Thatswhy it crashes at lower graphic settings.

I know that water speed must be greater than 0 on every map and also sth with textures - probably lowdetail dexture as you said...
