'sup guys,

I just need to open this one. Don't ask me why, but I kind of need to share this with you.
You know, I'm kind of the usual guy. 18 years old, average marks in school, average height, average everything.
I have my problems from the past, which I guess sort of everyone has. They bugged me a lot for the last 2 years. But then I came together with my GF and all that was forgotten, but that's another story.

Well you know, we are together for 8 months now, and we two thought it would be cool to enjoy some of the last sunbeams of this summer, so we climbed the local "Coaldump" which was turned into a sightseeing spot by the mayor of my town.
And man.

What a view. Just standing there, noone else around, just us two, staring into the descending sun which turns all the trees into a glittering golden color...
You know. You can say a lot about our world, everything is bad, meh, full of nay-sayers.
But those are the moments in my yet so short life which make all the grief, all the greyness, so to say, disappear. It was just awesome. I felt so small yet so important, as If nothing on the world was actually existent but us two.

We stood there and stared, saying next to nothing, for a good 40 minutes. Began to get cold so I snapped some pics and we went home again.

So, what is the purpose of this Thread, eh?
I want you to tell us similiar stories of, well, pure beauty, awesomeness or whatever. Tell us/me what moves you sentimentally. Give the panzerhunting, Mg42-firing testosterone-pumped guy another side.

Some will probably read this and go "uhm...wtf..what a wuss!" but I don't really care. Just do it.
