Indeed.

I admit that at first I was gripped by it, I don't believe I've heard of this specific person (Kony) before (only vaguely heard of this specific army-operation.).

Then I checked the FH forums for a more nuanced view than the shallow idiots that are 85% of my facebook friends. I saw thors link, and actually read up on this a little and completely changed my mind now.
albeit I didn't trust them fully from the beginning.

Edit: This stuff is getting just annoying. Every comment section on any website on completely not releated content are just filling with people spamming "KONY 2012!". Why can't I smack people trough my monitor? I'd like that kind of feature  ::)

The "Visible Children" website is inaccessible from my state-owned bullshit internet provider.

This (seemingly) censorship comes from bunch of idiots (government paid laymen) who flooded the country that causes another (probably) large amount of idiots (out of 238 million) that voted our Komodo Island on 7 wonders of the world organization, which could be a scam from Switzerland.

I knew LRA from FH off-topic forum when we debated about religion with some hardline conservatives.

It was like 5-6 years ago, we were like hipsters then. But those "instant sudden internet activists" are even sillier.

Doesn't the fact that you're saying you were talking about it before they were make you a hipster now? i.e. "I was discussing Kony before it was cool".

Yeah, I feel like Hipster, but after I read more about the current situation in Uganda, I started to re-think.

Before then, there is no economic crisis and all shit. LRA was still at large, and Kony hasn't escaped Uganda. American liberals can pretty well lobby their government to make some Blackhawk Down mission to snatch Joseph Kony and all that shit rainbows.

But foreign intervention... well let's see EGYPT, LIBYA, SYRIA, etc etc etc etc... oh LOLOLOLOLOL. Then there will be like Assad2020, we will be hipster then too.

I know that there are dozens of organisations who do a better job than these gun-nuts and they try to stay focused on the global problem and not on just one bad guy.
