I said that it would be possible to make for British sector and my conclusion was that devs won't make NA Americans models for 1 map... Well, I think I was wrong... But, in this way, there must be more USA maps in NA!!! ;D

Not really, the brodie helmet was only use in the first hours of the war in the pacific. The equipement use by the G.I. in NA was the same in Italy, Europe and late pacific.
BTW the thompson is my favorite one and when we will be in the pacific I will use it you can count on me.

It's basically the brit thompson with different grip I think. Also, the sl version has a 30 round mag.

Yes, the 37mm will be ineffective unless you're shooting at some PzIIs or other early-war/light-armored tanks.

It had slightly longer barrel, but only few mm difference i think, so yeah basically the same

US troops wore the same uniform in Africa that they did in italy and normandy, and they did it with almost all the same guns, only some slight changes like the earlier thompson and the 37mm AT gun, plus the M3 halftrack with the 75mm and the M3 Lee tank. But there are no new models needed for the infantry in terms of uniform. I have said this countless times now....

They were only used in North Africa and very early on in Italy. In the pacific though, they were used throughout the war, and were loved over there for their light weight, their canister shots, and that they could knock out anything the Japanese threw at them.

However, you all can look forward to tons of new (slightly outdated ;) ) US stuff as well as cool new German africa toys in the near future, so stay tuned!

Brits can only use the P-40. Although, they did order a batch of an export variant of P-39 but found it unsuitable for ETO (notably the poor performance at altitude) and after a single sortie across the Channel sent the delivered aircraft to Russia as Lend-Lease aid. The undelivered aircraft were used by the USAAF in the Pacific as the P-400. "What's a P-400? A P-40 with a Zero on its tail."
P-39 and P-40 can however both be used by the Russians, with the bulk of Airacobra production going there (4700+), along with over 2000 P-40's.

The uniform was somewhat different, as it was the Mediterranean variant of the standard uniform. It was also brown/tan colored and backpacks were always present. Not to mention M1943 field jackets used during Normandy werent even distributed until months after US arrival in North Africa. The M1941 Parson's jacket was used in North Africa and also there were specific mountain jacket and trousers which were used during most US-involved North African battles.

In Italy, the GI have 2 kind of boots but the rest of the uniforms is the same.
The seriously is about the playermodel.... Their is no need for new player model.

not entirely true, as when firing APC ammo, can penetrate front of PzIV and sides of PzIII.
But yes, North Africa front isn't as primitive as many think. Its just 14 months behind Normandy.

The M41 Parson's jacket is the exact jacket that is used in Normandy, and is used in FH2. The M1943 jacket did not actually make it to the ETO until 1945. Do your research before you say this. Also, the M41 was in no way brown or tan, read your literature:

I see the difference yes. But the M1 Parsons looks tan. While the Normandy player models look green. And I do read my literature it's called The US Army in World War II, Volume 2: The Mediterranean by Osprey Publishing, which clearly details all the uniforms worn by the US in the Mediterranean Theater as well as detailed pictures showing the various uniforms being worn by different divisions, ranks and corps.

Mkay, let's look at the drawings, and remember, they are drawing, not photos or actual uniforms.
First you post mountain troops. That's nice. It is highly unlikely the devs are going to put in mountain troop uniforms. They only just got in US para, and haven't even done FJ. So seeing US mountain uniforms is long long away, if at all.
The 2nd image you post is of cold weather uniforms. An overcoat (can't do with FH2 engine due to glitching with the hanging skirt), a mountain uniform, and a guy wearing the early brown wool shirt and tanker overalls.. Here, you see things either not being done, won't be done, and useless ingame.
M1 Parsons is not tan. These are original Parsons Jackets against a khaki shirt:

Very well. I hope the Mountain uni is put in eventually, b/c most major battles in the North African front for the US were using Mtn Divs especially in Tunisia. Good debate, I'm very pleased with the devs work.

The point is, new units arriving in Africa were getting them, so it was seen at El Al, and by Tunisia was not uncommon :P

Mere semantics I know, but I wonder why R35 tanks used in Italy are referred to in the update as "Vichy French". All R35 tanks in German service were captured following the defeat in 1940 (not, therefore, from the Vichy French), and none were made after the defeat, nor were any taken from Vichy France when the Germans invaded the free zone in 1942 since metropolitan Vichy forces did not have any tanks.
The only R35s in Vichy service at any point were all in the empire, none of which were seized by the Germans and which were all Allied by the end of 1942. So unless the Germans somehow sent captured Vichy French North African R35s from the Tunisian Campaign to Italy before surrendering in May 1943, they probably wouldn't be "Vichy French R35s".
