George Lucas debut movie, Francis Ford Coppola as executive producer and Robert Duvall as the main character.

THX 1138

I've always been fascinated with books and movies about "control-societies", like 1984 etc.
This movie is about one man (THX 1138, or Robert Duvall) who is a normal grunt working with building robots (robots who, when done, are used for policing and guardin duties). THX 1138 falls in love with his roommate LUH and later on he becomes chased and finally manages to escape the city, out from the grasp of the evil government.

A fairly good movie, the subject really interests me and that gives it a big plus. However it was a bit slow and... "sterile", luckily it was onle 180 minutes.

I would give this 7/10, much thanks to Robert Duvall's performance.
I see were you are trying to reach: "how can a 17 year old kid have such a thinking like this? why doesnt he wants to be like normal teens who whana get rich? and his plan actually makes sense, but is too damn revolutionary and good at the same time than is still doubthfull if it works..." - Damaso

Inglorious Bastards (1978)
- Dirty Dozen but with more naked babes. Nothing special.

Play Dirty
- Michael Caine on LRDG Mission. Could have been OK but too many long scenes leading to nothing.

Rolling Thunder
- Like the first Rambo film but with Rambo coming home to his family and being badly treated by Mexicans. OK.

Children of Men
- I still enjoy this flick very much. Some amazing scenes and the realistic feeling makes it almost a classic for me.

                    The Village        3/10

Terrible movie, dont watch this one. Its very boring, their attempt at being mysterious totally fails, its almost no action , and the plot which i shouldnt reveal is stupid. Aswell as its quite unrealistic i think.
Its about a small kinda amish-like village , lying right besides a forest where some mysterious creatures is supposed to live. The villagers are not supposed to enter this forest, and when a person does mysterious things start to happen.

                   Defiance     6/10

Allright movie. Relatively good plot about a group of russian jews making a resistance group. The action scenes arent too good, either theyre very dark and you dont see what happens, orelse theyre good enough, but nothing you havent seen before. Aswell as its alittle too much talk about The Torah, and the main actor is compared with Moses.

                   A night on Earth  2/10

I guess this movie may be good for many, but not for me. I dont like dialogue-movies too much, and this movie has nothing but dialogue. Its about 5 different taxi drivers around the world, in 5 different stories.
Maybe they have a point of morale i dont see, or something, but for me their conversations are meaningless. I think many of the actors overplay their roles aswell. They try to be funny sometimes, i guess i just have wrong humor.

         The Killing Fields          8/10

Very good movie. Not too much action. Its not a war movie, but in a war setting, and based on a true story. Its about some journalists being in Cambodia as Khmer Rouge rise to power. Its quite dramatic, but the drama function quite well. The first part of the movie is alittle boring, and its not any cool effects, but the setting is very good, aswell as its very realistic, and portraits the insane Khmer Rouge regime very well.

Caught it from half way through this morning..

The Battle of the Bulge (1965)

Well to be honest thats the most absurd and awful 2nd world war film i've ever seen..

Filmed in a desert..  I mean! Come on! They could of put some effort into the film location.

But thats just the start of it for a long list see: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0058947/goofs

I'm giving this film 2/10

The only way they could of made it worse was that instead of German forces they were fighting Japs.

I admit it as well. I liked Moulin Rouge! The Medleys are awesome.

Anyone else here who has seen "Chicago"? I'd give that movie an 8 of 10 as well.
