Title: A hiden gem, Dishonored
Post by: NTH on 28-04-2012, 21:04:08
Was reading a preview for this game today. Wasn't on my radar until now. It is a mix of Thief, Deus Ex with a pinch of Half Life. It is set in a London like city in the year 1900 with a sight twist on history.

Check out the excellent trailer.

The trailer was shown and the game discussed in a recent The Game Station podcast. Looks interesting.

Yea saw the trailer alread and I also think it has a lot things with Dark Project/Thief in common. Maybe a little bit of Assassins Creed and Bioshock as well.
Interesting for sure. Looking forward to some gameplay footage.

Steampunk! Yay!
Hitman and Thief! Yay!
Assassin's Creed. Nay :(

Time will tell if it's worth the effort.

Kuba no love for Assassin's creed  ??? The game has the best scenery and immersion ever, since pac man.

I played the first assassin's creed and the half of second one - was almost the same thing and it made a 'meh' impression on me. Now I just feel that type of gameplay is just overdone.

I didn't finish the first one, when I played it for the first time. Gave the second one a chance and played all since then.
I can look past the repetitive game play because the execution is so well done.
Also if you have been playing games for a like time, like me, there not much in the gameplay department that can still woo and surprise me.

Hopefully Dishonored has some surprises in store.

This is a game where you say "Listen honey it's not you, it's me. This is just not going to work out for the both of us"

The game just didn't do it for me. The  the animation and voice acting were just meh ... And the art style wasn't my thing.

I read the reviews and that is what got me pumped. But the actual game was meh . so bland. Perhaps if I played this one before Bioshock...
Game of the year 2012, certainly not my game of the year 2012.
